TransUnion selects Alterian platform to Deliver Actionable Analytics

The Alterian Platform will enable TransUnion to easily manage, segment and analyze one of Canada's largest databases of consumer credit files.

The Engine uses column-based analytical technology, an exclusive structure which can run complex ad hoc queries spanning huge volumes of data in seconds. This encourages train-of-thought analysis and provides more granular, useable results.



In addition, TransUnion will adopt Alterian Data Discovery & Visualization (http://www. alterian. com/document_1.aspx? id=0:33346&id=0:33477&id=0:33478&id=0:33469), giving marketing analysts the ability to interact with the data and transform it into useful metrics and graphical information. The Analytical Reporting tool will also be used to ensure that insightful analysis is fully leveraged throughout the business.
