Business leaders from around the tri-state area will gather on Thursday, February 10, 2010 to share insights, strategies, and tools on how businesses can maximize business success. The event, part of The Business "Reality" Seminar Series, and entitled, "Break Out Business Success: Achieving Peak Performance in 2010 and Beyond," will take place from 8:00 AM to 10:15 AM at Pace University--The Evelyn & Joseph I. Lubin Center Main Auditorium, 1 Martine Avenue, White Plains.



The Keynote speaker is Paul Facella, former McDonald's executive and author of best-seller, "Everything I Know about Business I Learned at McDonald's " (McGrawHill, 2008) which was named among USA Today's Top Business Books. He will share insights, tips and tangible tools to help businesses of all sizes maximize business success in this challenging economic climate. Paul is founder and CEO of Inside Management (www. insidemanagement. com), an internationally recognized group of senior consultants with diverse expertise headquartered in Lynbrook, NY. At the peak of his 34-year career at McDonald's, he was Vice President of the New York Region for 14 years, quadrupling its revenues to over $600 million. Steven M. Kaplan, CPA/ABV, MBA - Partner

Mr. Kaplan is the partner in charge of Business Valuation, Forensic Accounting and Litigation Support services for EZKR where he provides business valuation, forensic accounting, collaborative practice, alternative dispute resolution, litigation support and tax services for matrimonial, estate and gift, economic damage, dissenting shareholder and merger and acquisition purposes. Prior to joining EZKR, Steve was a partner in the valuation and litigation support firm of Blaustein, Lynne & Co., LLP. He has written tax articles for the CPA Journal, appeared on the PBS "Dollar for Dollar" TV program, served as a tax editor and consultant for Thompson Publishing Co. and Harcourt Brace Professional Publishing, and lectured on a variety of tax and matrimonial dissolution topics for the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Foundation for Accounting Education.



Steve currently serves on the Blind Brook - Rye School District Board of Education as its President and on the Board of Directors of the multi-disciplinary New York Association of Collaborative Professionals. Previously, Steve has served as a member of the Editorial Advisory Board and been a contributing author for Aspen Publishing's CPA Litigation Service Counselor and for National Litigation Consultants' Review. Steve holds a B. S. in Accounting from State University of New York at Albany and an MBA in Taxation from Bernard M. Baruch College.



Dr. Greg Chartier

Greg Chartier is Principal of The Office of Gregory J Chartier, a Human Resources Consulting firm and is a well-known management consultant, educator and speaker. His practice consists of three broad areas: Human Resources management and outsourcing for firms of less than 500 employees, strategic HR management and Management Training. His business experience includes management positions with Pfizer, The Chase Manhattan Bank, The Bank of New York and Johnson and Johnson.



He is a Board Member of the Business Council of Westchester, where he is the Chair of the Human Resources Council and a member of the Executive Committee. He is also a Board Member of the Job Service Employers Council (JSEC) of the New York State Department of Labor. He is a national member of SHRM and the Certification Chair of the local SHRM chapter, the Westchester Human Resources Management Association.



Greg is a member of the faculty of Pace University's MPA Program. He also runs the Certification Program for Human Resources Management at Pace University, which includes the preparatory program for the Human Resources Professional Examinations and the Essentials in Human Resources Management Program. He has a Bachelors Degree from The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his Ph. D. in Human Resources Management from Madison University. Greg is certified by the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
