Wellness Coach Announces a Free Tele-forum "Work & Me: The Role Work Plays in the Lives of the Chronically Ill"



Balancing work/career aspiration and health needs for a person living with a chronic illness can be a challenge to their health, self-esteem and work relationships. This workshops seeks to offer the ill information, tips and support.

Men and women living with a chronic illness from around the country are invited to join in to a free tele-forum, Work & Me: "The role work plays in the lives of the chronically ill."



A chronic illness is an illness that lasts 3 months or more, by the definition of the U. S. National Center of Health Statistics. Patients who struggle with enduring physical illness deal with a myraid of psychological issues, states Licensed Clinical Psychologist, William W. Lee. Listed among those psychological issues that ill people face is the difficulty in managing the symptoms of their illness to prevent interference in their work lives.



This telepnone forum will explore issues that are not generally discussed, but greatly affects the well-being of the chronically ill. Issues such as: Dealing with an illness while working, How working or not working affects the self-esteem, What to do now that work is no longer an option, and Exploring alternatives to working a 9 to 5 job.
