You just came home from a weekend in the Hamptons and your nerves are burnt to a crisp from dealing with hellacious traffic, let Melissa Blue soothe you. This may not be the hottest spot around, but it sure is the nicest, and no matter what you may have heard, nice guys never finish last. Directly across from the Kips Bay movie theatre, Melissa Blue provides an interesting contrast with its laid back, ultra relaxed vibe. Dim, yellow tinted lighting and original handmade lamps help to create a warm, fuzzy, home away from home feeling. The health food fare is so delicious that you donÂ’t even know that youÂ’re doing your body right by eating it. But whatever good youÂ’re doing by eating right is sure to be undone by the fantastic drinks, especially the white peach sangria that pretty much begs you to keep on drinking long after you should have stopped. Even if the inside area is a bit small and sparsely populated, the beautiful garden out back is sure to make Melissa Blue a welcome addition to the Murray Hill nabe and an outstanding date destination.
