Tommy Toy from San Francisco became the grand prize winner of a $2 million dollar bay-front home as a part of Community Action Marin’s 3rd Annual Dream House Raffle (www. marinraffle. com). In addition to the Grand Prize, 369 additional prizes were awarded, ranging from $25,000 to $300. The complete list of winners can be found at http://www. marinraffle. com/PrizeWinners. aspx (http://www. marinraffle. com/PrizeWinners. aspx).

The top prize is a 3,200 square foot, 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom home located in Larkspur, California, featuring an open floor plan with stunning, wrap-around views of Mt. Tamalpais and the San Francisco Bay. The home includes a private elevator, gourmet kitchen with Viking appliances, white oak hardwood floors, lush garden landscaping, crown molding, and an outdoor terrace.

“We’d like to offer our congratulations to the raffle winners and appreciation to all of the raffle participants,” said Russell Hamel, Director of Development for CAM. “This raffle funds CAM’s social service programs, which make a big difference in the lives of Marin County’s families in need. We all win when we’re able to help low-income Marin residents achieve self-sufficiency.”

The Marin Dream House Raffle began September 1, 2009, with the Grand Prize drawing on February 20, 2010. The Grand Prize winner has the option to choose between the $2 million house or a cash prize of $1.6 million. People who purchased tickets were included in Early Bird bonus drawings for cash prizes up to $25,000. All purchasers who entered before October 2, 2009, were entered into the first Early Bird Drawing, as well as all subsequent drawings. All proceeds from ticket sales benefit Community Action Marin (CAM – http://camarin. org (http://camarin. org)), one of the area’s oldest and largest private social service providers, in their ongoing support of low-income individuals, families and children in Marin County.
