The purpose of this "summit" is three fold:



To provide an opportunity for North Carolina Clergy to review and respond to the regional action plans from the statewide faith conference



To raise awareness regarding the new testing options and how the faith-based community can encourage testing



To provide a forum for clergy to educate other clergy on ways to work with HIV/AIDS with in their communities.



By the end of this one-day summit clergy will have:



Reviewed and responded to the regional action plans including methods of further implications of those plans.



Demonstrated their understanding of new testing options by illustrating ways to encourage testing.



Knowledge of how HIV/AIDS are affecting minorities in NC and will devise strategies to reach this population (in their region) through faith-based initiatives.
