Kids Have a ‘Doggone’ Good Time with Launch of RAGGS Kids Club Band Video Series

Charlotte, North Carolina (PRWEB) August 10, 2004

Kids too young to enjoy the rock spectacles of today are granted a full-access, backstage pass to the jamminÂ’ concert designed and performed just for them by the hottest kids rock nÂ’ roll band around: the RAGGS Kids Club Band, a real-live touring troupe.

The brainchild of advertising executive Toni Steedman, the RAGGS Kids Club Band integrates positive messages with fun characters – each with his or her own personalities, qualities and differences – working together to create a hand-clapping, toe-tapping, tail-wagging good time kids will enjoy again and again. Their live concerts, which can seen at malls, fairs/ festivals and daily summer shows at The Palace Theatre in Myrtle Beach, SC, can now be viewed at home with the “RAGGS Kids Club Band Pawsuuup! Tour” music video, the first in a new line of videos, DVDs and CDs featuring the popular band.

“RAGGS Kids Club Band Pawsuuup! Tour” recently received The National Parenting Center’s Seal of Approval and the iParenting Award. It is recommended for ages 2-8 and will be available on August 17, 2004 for a suggested retail price of $12.98 for the DVD and $9.98 for the VHS. A CD of all the terrific songs from the concert will also be available (SRP $9.98.)

The program is approximately 55 minutes and the DVD has an extra 40 minutes of bonus material including: four karaoke-style songs, a meet the band section and video instructions for the bandÂ’s secret handshake.

“Entertaining children is a great responsibility and privilege,” says Steedman, who originally created bandleader RAGGS, an imaginary dog, for her daughter as carpool entertainment. “Our core message is teaching the value of music in the lives of children. We are truly committed to the absolute highest standards of entertainment.”

Steedman strived to make the RAGGS Kids Club Band members distinctive individuals beholden with classic traits reshaped by contemporary interests, values and issues: RAGGS, the founder of the band and the glue that holds it together, is a true, loyal friend; Trilby®, the furry pink bass player and super athlete, lives by her motto TNT, “Trilby, Not Trouble;” Pido, the big yellow surfer pup, plays the drums and serves up healthy meals for the band; B. Maxwell Oliver, main songwriter and keyboardist, is wheelchair-bound and never misses a minute of the action while always instilling the power of positive thinking; and Razzles, the band’s manager, is the brains of the group and keeps the show rockin’ and rollin’.

Viewers will enjoy clapping and dancing along to the 50’s rock anthem “Wag & Wiggle,” the rap-ballad TNT (Trilby’s Theme) and the soulful “RAGGS Kids Club House.” For a change of musical pace, there’s the Italian-themed “Funiculi Funicula;” hip-hoppers will jam to “Razzles Rap;” and funkers can get down to the “RAGGS Rock.” The show is intermixed with music videos of the band’s hits “Yo Yo Hey,” “Rock-n-Roll Baby” and “The Drummer With the Dinner,” as well as backstage interviews and footage of their antics and adventures at the beach and in New York City. It’s a non-stop musical ride the whole family will enjoy.

Future releases include “Unleashed,” music videos mixed with live action, which will be available in October and “Holiday Jam,” a live-action episodic program filmed on the ski slopes of Colorado and based on the band’s already award-winning holiday CD, is due in November. Each release will include a DVD, VHS and accompanying musical CD.
