Brim Healthcare and Broadlane Continue Successful, Exclusive Relationship

Broadlane announced today that Brim Healthcare has renewed its exclusive relationship with Broadlane.

Dallas (Vocus) November 18, 2008

Broadlane (www. broadlane. com) announced today that Brim Healthcare has renewed its exclusive relationship with Broadlane. Brim Healthcare will continue to access Broadlane's unparalleled national GPO portfolio of consumable supplies, equipment, pharmaceuticals and purchased services to help manage its approximate $150 million in annual spend for 35 hospitals across the country. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Brim Healthcare also will continue to utilize Broadlane's proprietary client portal OnRamp™ to access the GPO contract portfolio, informatics, Broadlane and industry news and education.

Brim Healthcare has added BroadLink® (Broadlane's e-commerce exchange) to the list of services it will use. BroadLink automates and manages transactions between Brim hospitals and suppliers electronically. Hospitals can also manage purchase orders, purchase acknowledgements, advanced ship notifications, invoices and product and price updates through BroadLink.

"Broadlane's overall service offering is unmatched," said Lynn Lambert, senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer, Brim Healthcare. "We have received significant benefits and cost savings through the Broadlane GPO portfolio and Capital Equipment Services. We've also chosen to utilize BroadLink as our electronic data interchange of choice to streamline our purchasing processes. Broadlane has demonstrated a continuous ability to provide significant savings and supply chain improvements, and we look forward to further savings and improvement in the coming years."

Brim Healthcare will continue to actively utilize Broadlane's Capital Equipment Services, including Live Group Buys, Equipment Planning, Budget Assessment and Quote Reviews. Three Brim Healthcare hospitals saved nearly 25 percent and three months of research and negotiation time on new computed tomography (CT) scanners at a Broadlane Live Group Buy. Also, according to Broadlane findings, capital equipment vendor quotes are incorrect 60 percent of the time. Brim Healthcare will continue to send capital equipment quotes to Broadlane for Quote Review where price, warranty and term information is verified for accuracy.

"We are pleased to continue our successful, exclusive relationship with Brim Healthcare," said David Ricker, president and chief executive officer, Broadlane. "Brim Healthcare is a valuable client, and we are grateful for the faith they have in our abilities to deliver even greater savings and supply chain improvements in the coming years."
