Dr. Gottman's status as one of Psychotherapy Networker's Top 10 Most Influential Therapists of the past twenty five years has been earned over the course of a career devoted to investigating the underlying thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in love-based relationships. With his Gottman Institute co-founder and wife Dr. Julie Schwartz Gottman, Dr. John Gottman (http://www. goodtherapy. org/john-gottman-workshop. html) has forged many paths through the wilderness of modern understanding about how marriage counseling (http://www. goodtherapy. org/Marriage-Counseling. html) can make relationships thrive and tick - and what can cause relationships to decay and ultimately fail, as well.

The University of Washington emeritus professor of psychology has long been noted for his prolific work, and he has written and co-authored forty books, including a national bestseller, along with authoring over one hundred ninety academic studies. He has made appearances and given interviews in a wide variety of mainstream and special interest media publications, including Oprah and The New York Times.
