Medical University of South Carolina Wins Multiple Awards for Website Quality and Innovation



MUSC wins two eHealthcare leadership awards and three Greystone. net Best In Class Awards.

The Medical University of South Carolina has recently been recognized with multiple awards for its Website. The Website has been honored with two eHealthcare Leadership Awards and three Greystone. net Best In Class Awards for its innovative content and focus on new media.



MUSC received a platinum eHealthcare Leadership award for Best Rich Media in the category for hospitals with 400+ beds. The award is given to the best among sites that focus on video, audio, podcasts, virtual tours, and special interactive applications. MUSC also was given a Distinction eHealthcare Leadership Award for Best Healthcare Content in the category for hospitals with 400+ beds. In the category, sites are judged on the quality, timeliness, relevance, organization, and credibility of the content.



The eHealthcare Leadership Awards are provided by Strategic Health Care Communications, and the awards are chosen from over 1100 entries. A panel of 101 judges familiar with the healthcare industry and the Internet judged and selected the winners.



MUSC has also been recognized in the Greystone. net Best In Class Awards with honors for innovation, use of multimedia and social networking, and for the best overall Website.



Medical University of South Carolina received the gold Innovator's Award for its advancement in text services and mobile mapping services available on www. muschealth. com. Entrants were judged on their ingenuity and presentation, as well as their overall advancement of Internet healthcare technology.



Additionally, they received a gold award for Best Use of Multimedia and Social Networking for its innovative medical podcast and video library. Entrants were judged on their effective use of emerging Web technologies.



MUSC was also recognized with a bronze award for Best Overall Website, being honored for its value, innovation, and leadership in the industry.



The Greystone. net Awards are selected from over 120 entrants, and are judged by a combination of popular vote, demonstrated results, and other factors.
