Ada Wong, Finalist on NBC's "The Biggest Loser," Signs on to Represent Marathon Makeover

Wong to lead nationwide online marathon training program

Clinton, MS (PRWEB) January 14, 2011

Marathon Makeover, one of America’s leading marathon training programs, has received the endorsement of Ada Wong, a finalist on NBC’s “The Biggest Loser” Season 10. In addition, Wong will serve as national spokesperson for the organization and help lead their online training program.

“I’m excited to be a part of the incredible impact that Marathon Makeover is having across the country in leading people towards healthy living,” said Wong. “Marathon Makeover stands head-and-shoulders above other training programs. A major factor is that the program isn’t just focused on training people to run. It’s about transforming the whole person — mind, body and spirit.”

Wong, a 28-year-old native of Santa Clara, California, entered the “The Biggest Loser” competition at a weight of 258 pounds. She quickly became a fan favorite and during the show’s finale, which aired in December of last year, it was revealed she lost a total of 99 pounds through diet and exercise.

“We are thrilled to have Ada on the Marathon Makeover team,” said Mark Simpson, co-director of Marathon Makeover. “Her endorsement has multifaceted impact. It gives credibility to our approach, it provides a strong, nationally recognized image that embodies so much of what we are all about and it strengthens our online training program.”

This year Mississippi-based Marathon Makeover has expanded their reach by launching training teams in Texas, Oregon and Tennessee. In addition, with Wong’s help they are launching an all-new online program.

“I look forward to all that we can accomplish through the Marathon Makeover Online,” Wong commented. “I will be interacting with participants on a regular basis and look forward to seeing their results and providing support as they meet and exceed their goals.”

In addition, Wong says that a major strength of Marathon Makeover is the support structure that it offers.

“It makes losing weight and developing a healthy lifestyle all the more difficult when you don’t have a people around you cheering you on. I never had this before ‘The Biggest Loser.’ I quickly realized the major role it plays in your success. This type of support is the foundation of Marathon Makeover.”

Those interested in becoming part of Marathon Makeover can enroll online and either join the online training team or sign up to be a part of a local group. Details on the kick-off of their 2011 season, program cost and other details are available online at marathonmakeover. com.
