Sydney (PRWEB) December 1, 2008

Dan Clay states "Right now many people are in the midst of a massive pre-Xmas hangover that is a pretty scary slippery slope. But don't worry, we've got your back this holiday season!"

Dan Clay has put together "The Ultimate Holiday Survival Kit: Simple Training and Nutrition Tips to Save Your Waistline This Holiday Season!" This kit provides a tried and proven blueprint for much needed damage control this holiday season that he has used with great success for his hundreds of clients. "The key to a healthy lifestyle is looking for every possible opportunity to have fun with your fitness routine," says Dan Clay. "People love holiday-themed music so we're going to crank it to holiday workout music to put a seasonal twist on our workouts!"

Veterinary Practice Marketing Program by TR Cutler, Inc. Identifies Best Marketing Opportunity Areas: Miami

(PRWEB) September 10, 2004

TR Cutler, president of the proprietary TR Cutler, Inc. Veterinary Practice Marketing program, just two years old, announced that two hundred veterinary practices are now using the variable data program which provides specific reminders to pet owners with 4 color photographs of their breed of dog or cat every month.

Cutler noted, “We are thrilled that so many veterinary practices that started with the three month trial have now extended to a year long program. Our demographic pet ownership research confirms that veterinarians in Miami will be among the best served by this program” The average practice sees 212% revenue growth by using the program.

No other veterinary marketing program has come close to the extraordinary results of this program. Cutler concluded that pet owners want to see a picture of their breed based on the near fanatically devotion to the pet owners breed dedication. According to Cutler, “When we show people of picture of their family member, it makes all the difference in the world. If they didn’t know about allergy-testing or a senior screening, these reminders make all the difference in the world in driving increased revenue for veterinarians.”

Cutler who edited a pet magazine and produced a pet television show before developing this key marketing outreach program in 2002, suggested that pet owners simply have to be informed what healthcare options are available for their pets to live long and healthy lives.

Attention Women Over 50: Get in Shape Using the Power of the Internet

Attention Women Over 50: Get in Shape Using the Power of the Internet.

Discover the benefits of getting a customized workout program using the power of the Internet. Not only can you get complete fitness assessments, a workout suited to your needs but you get access to a certified personal trainer 24/7 to support and guide you through your program and address any of your concerns or questions.

(PRWEB) July 12, 2005

As we age, exercise becomes more and more important if we want to stay healthy, toned, lean and sexy. Many women recognize that need but they simply don't want to go to a gym or they don't have the funds necessary to hire a personal trainer or their schedule makes it difficult to schedule workouts at a health club on a regular basis.

There are many, many women who want to lose weight and dramatically reduce their body fat, have a firm, toned, supple body, increase their lean muscle mass and strength, not be winded after climbing a flight of stairs, fit into the clothes they've been dreaming about, have the confidence and self-esteen to do anything they want, be the envy of all their friends, have more energy, live longer and enjoy life to the fullest, and drastically improve their health and level of fitness.

Finally, there is a answer for them. The power of the Internet...online personal training.

Undoubtedly, a healthy and attractive body is the one of the most powerful attributes any woman could ever have. But it can be a challenge to get there. Many women realize that having a personal trainer to support them could be vital to their health and fitness success. But, unfortunately, the majority of them will never reach their goals because they never get that expert guidance and support they need.

Online personal training provides a way to get that support. It doesn't matter where they live. As long as they have access to a computer they can reach their goals. They have access to their own personal trainer designing an exercise program that meets their individual needs, answering their questions and supporting them 24/7. They can exercise when and where they want. And online training can cost less than $30 a month, less than the cost of one session with a personal trainer.

Finally, there is a way to get the same motivation and benefits of one-on-one personal training without the high cost. For many women the cost of online personal training is really a painless drop in the bucket compared to the money being spent on ineffective supplements, programs, gym memberships, etc.

Nothing is more convenient or affordable than online personal training. For many it is by far the best way to lose weight, tone up, build muscle, get healthy, and achieve fitness goals.

Franciscan Sisters Feature Alison Brown's "Holy St. Brendan" for May Song Download

Franciscan Sisters Feature Alison Brown's "Holy St. Brendan" for May Song Download

Catholic Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity feature Alison Brown's "The Wonderful Sea Voyage of Holy Saint Brendan" as their free song download for Young Adults at the 'Franciscanized World' vocation page.

Green Bay, WI (PRWEB) May 3, 2010

Since St. Brendan's May 16 Feast Day naturally inspires thoughts of heroic adventure, the Franciscan Sisters invite all graduates discerning their future path and vocation call to immerse themselves in this buoyant instrumental that evokes the Irish saint's heroic journeying. May all find Christ on their personal journey of self-discovery.

Alison was "…inspired to write "The Wonderful Sea Voyage" after watching a program on the Discovery Channel about the wanderings of the Christian monk Brendan the Navigator. According to legend, Brendan made a voyage from the west coast of Ireland to Newfoundland around 550 AD possibly becoming the first European to travel to the New World. Brendan and his company of 14 monks traveled for 7 years in a small leather curragh enduring many hardships but experiencing many fantastic adventures as well. I tried to capture the feel of the sea and some of the drama of Brendan's adventure in this tune."

The former investment banker (with a bachelor's degree in History and Literature from Harvard and an MBA from UCLA) toured with Alison Krauss and Union Station before forming The Alison Brown Quartet. Her critically-acclaimed albums include the Grammy winning Fair Weather (2000 Best Country Instrumental Performance). Alison has been featured on NPR's All Things Considered and in the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times. She is co-founder of Compass Records Group which oversees more than 600 releases, and which has been called by Billboard Magazine "one of the greatest independent labels of the last decade." Alison currently serves on the Board of the Nashville Chamber of Commerce.

As Franciscan Sisters' postulant, Marie Wilhelm observed, "'Voyage' … is a really wonderful song! … she really captures the ambiance of a voyage and this reminds me of what is going on in my life right now. I am in for an adventure going to Arizona and seeing what it is like to be on mission in the West. I can't wait. I will think of this song when I am on the airplane!"

Another of the Sisters' women in formation, Postulant Kara Martin, shared her enthusiasm. "Wow! This a beautiful song! It makes me think of the joyfulness and adventure that one finds in a journey with God. It's a song I could listen to again and again without getting tired of it. Amazing!"

"We want to present our life as a viable option. Personal invitation is always best; however, we became convinced that real conversations can begin by using the language of images and music," said Sr. Julie Ann Sheahan, OSF, Directress of Vocations for the Franciscan order.

Established in 1869, the Roman Catholic Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity serve in Catholic health care, education and parish ministries throughout the United States, and offer discernment retreats for Catholic Women.

(PRWEB) February 7, 2005

The Problem:

Some 35-40% of women ages 18 to 60 color their hair. Research shows a strong connection between the use of commercial hair dyes and various forms of cancer. Researchers at the National Cancer Institute estimate 20% of all cases of non-Hodgkins lymphoma, the cancer that killed Jackie Kennedy Onassis, are due to women using commercial hair dyes. There is also a very high incidence of cancer among hairdressers.

The research was highlighted in the DoctorsÂ’ Prescription for Healthy Living Newsletter, Volume 2, Number 1. The article is footnoted with numerous references and research on the subject.

The problem has been described in some detail in:

Being A Woman—Naturally by Dr. Jan McBarron, M. D., Freedom Press Topanga, CA 2002, pp 83-88, 176

The Solution:

There are safe, natural and very effective hair coloring products available that can color hair without the dangers of the chemicals described above. One of the primary herbal ingredients is known as henna, and it was used by Cleopatra as one of her eternal beauty secrets. Today Light Mountain Natural Hair Color and our new Color the Gray Natural Hair Coloring for Gray Hair provide a wide range of botanical-based colors with no chemical additives.

Good Health Supplements Releases 'Nothing But Goji' Donating $1 Per Bottle to Breast Cancer Research

Good Health Supplements Releases 'Nothing But Goji' Donating $1 Per Bottle to Breast Cancer Research

Good Health Supplements(tm) released their new product called "Nothing But Goji"(tm) made from 100% pure organic goji juice and will be donating $1 from the sale of each bottle to Digital Infrared Thermography breast cancer research.

Sedona, AZ (PRWEB) June 26, 2007

Good Health Supplements(tm) introduces "Nothing But Goji"(tm) which is 100% pure, cold pressed, certified organic, goji juice from wild harvested, hand picked, Himalayan goji berries with no preservatives, sugar or artificial colors added. Complete product details are located at Nothing But Goji (http://www. antiaginglifeextension. com/nothing-but-goji-juice/default. asp).

The berries of the Goji plant (Lycium Barbarum) have been treasured for centuries by the Himalayan people. These berries flourish in the tranquil valleys that are naturally protected by the majestic Himalayan Mountains. The nutrient rich soil and fresh mountain air guarantee nearly perfect conditions for the plants to blossom.

The benefits of "Nothing But Goji"(tm) are many, including:

1. Delicious taste and is 100% pure Goji juice with no added juices of any kind and not made from concentrate.

2. 100% USDA certified organic and cold pressed from wild harvested Himalayan Goji berries (Lycium Barbarum) and is rich in naturally occurring anti-oxidant vitamins, minerals (Zinc, Calcium, Germanium, Selenium, Phosphorus, Copper and Iron) and many amino acids (Isoleucine & Methione).

3. Certified Kosher and Vegetarian and safe for diabetics to drink because it contains no sugar plus it contains NO artificial colors or preservatives.

4. Flash pasteurized which kills spoilage microorganisms and has little effect on the enzymes and no effect on the other nutrients plus maintains the freshness, taste and color of the juice.

5. Goji berries are considered to be the most nutrient dense fruits on earth because they are a very rich source of vitamin C having 500 times more vitamin C per ounce than oranges, actually more than almost any fruit you could name. And they are also a superb source of vitamin A, B1, B2, B6, and E, and becoming famous as an antioxidant.

As Ira Marxe, CEO of Good Health Supplements says...

"It's amazing that a simple plant fruit that was turned into a delicious juice has created such incredible results because I have been preaching for years, as have many medical and nutritional professionals, that in order to make and keep yourself healthy, you must alkalize your body, and Goji juice can in fact help do that!

For example, I suffered for years from osteoarthritis in my knees from an old injury (I never took drugs. I'd rather withstand the pain). I started drinking an expensive MLM brand of Goji juice and within days, the pain was gone!

After searching I was able to find a 100% organic product and created "Nothing But Goji"(tm). Scientists have intensely studied the nutritionally dense fruit of the Goji berry, having produced over 83 scientific studies outlining the health benefits of drinking this amazing juice...one of which helps to alkalize your body.

In addition, we will be donating $1 from the sale of each bottle of "Nothing But Goji"(tm) to North Carolina Institute of Technology toward the building of Early Detection Clinics where they will be using the most up-to-date FDA approved Digital Infrared Thermography equipment. This equipment is non-force and can detect small tumors 10 years earlier than mammography as well as tumors that mammography cannot detect."

To learn more about the Nothing But Goji(tm) please contact Ira Marxe, CEO of Good Health Supplements at (928) 203-9700 or visit http://www. antiaginglifeextension. com (http://www. antiaginglifeextension. com).

CCA Ranked as One of America's “Top Military-Friendly Employers”&#174

CCA Ranked as One of America's “Top Military-Friendly Employers”®

Leading corrections company earns high marks for hiring veterans who are embarking on civilian careers.

Nashville, TN (Vocus) November 15, 2010

CCA remains one of the best places to work for military servicepersons transitioning from the Service. That's according to G. I. Jobs magazine, which, for the fourth time, has ranked CCA as one of the nation's "Top 100 Military Friendly Employers" ® for 2011. CCA came in 54th place.

The highly anticipated yearly G. I. Jobs list is "a priceless resource for transitioners mapping out a new career path." At CCA – the nation's leader in partnership corrections for federal, state and county government – nearly 10 percent of employees are veterans. This year, CCA is the sole corrections company on the list and now has the distinction of being a "consistent performer," which sets apart companies that have appeared on the list for at least three years.

“Corrections Corporation of America has consistently proven it values the talent, skills and training that prior military bring to corporate America,” said Dan Fazio, managing editor of G. I. Jobs. “The company’s efforts to recruit and retain veterans have earned it a place among the Top Military Friendly Employers for the past four years. Sport Fit Bowie's Ace Junior Tennis Academy Highlights of 2006

Sport Fit Bowie's Ace Junior Tennis Academy Highlights of 2006

Sport Fit Bowie has many junior tennis opportunities. At the highest level of performance is the ACE Junior Tennis Academy. The ACE players have had another great year and the program and it's achievements are listed.

Bowie, MD (PRWEB) February 11, 2007

"It's no longer a quiet success," said Rozzell Lightfoot while discussing his ACE Junior Tennis Program at Sport Fit Bowie. Coach Rozzell is the Head Pro for the Junior Academy located directly east, just outside the Washington, D. C. Beltway in Bowie, Maryland. He has developed the program over the last 4 years at Sport Fit and the players' performance is speaking volumes about the success of the approach that the coaches are taking.

Rozzell also is known as a coach that watches the players in their tournament matches and travels extensively. He's also one of the first High Performance Coaches certified by the United States Tennis Association (USTA). Rozzell Lightfoot is a former top ranked player from the Mid-Atlantic area and the former #1 player for Hampton University.

Having worked to develop players from 4 year olds into collegiate competitors, Rozzell is familiar with the developmental process and when to focus on performance and when to focus on results, and how to keep it all in perspective. His group's "quiet success" is bringing more and more of the serious competitors from the area to Sport Fit Bowie and the ACE Junior Tennis Academy.

Julien Delaine was a top-ranked Junior and College Player. He has worked closely with Rozzell for 15 years at Washington Tennis Foundation, Mount Vernon College, Bethesda Sport and Health and now as a partner at Sport Fit Bowie. Julien's patience and diligence is a key factor in developing young talent and molding the young player as they progress through the levels. He also works closely with disadvantaged youth as a mentor and father figure.

Damiisa Robinson has recently joined the staff and has added youth and recent player experience to the equation. Damiisa is a former student of Rozzell's from the Washington Tennis Foundation, and former scholarship player at Clemson University. He attained an ATP world ranking in singles and was also a practice partner for Shenay Perry (top 50 in the world and Fed Cup Team member). Finding difficulty funding his efforts through sponsorships, he has decided to give back to the kids and pursue his music career.

Mac James (conducts Sport Fit Boot Camps) and Mark Shields (Asst. Fitness Director) are Sport Fit Bowie Certified Trainers that help with the fitness component of the Ace Academy. They incorporate sport-specific conditioning, along with agility and strength training, to enhance each player's performance.

Sport Fit's Director of Tennis, Kevin McClure also has a background working with top junior players. A former #1 player for the University of Richmond, Kevin has been a Director of Tennis or Head Pro for over 20 years. He was also the Head Pro for the Advanced Training Center (now refered to as the Competitive Training Centers - CTC) for Northern Virginia and Washington, D. C. Additionally, Kevin took his McLean High School Boys and Girls Teams to their first District Championships in recorded history! "I'm pleased to have someone of Rozzell's background and track record orchestrating the ACE Academy at Sport Fit Bowie", Mr. McClure said.

Sport Fit has junior development programs that range from beginners through advanced. The ACE Academy is where the strongest athletes, the best performers in their age group and the children of truly committed families go for their training (a strong consistent program requires a commitment of time and money). Players just getting started, developing more slowly or just interested in getting exposed to tennis will usually start in the regular Junior Program. Often, if a player excels, they will be offered an opportunity to join the ACE Academy program for advanced players.

This past year, most of the tournament players had excellent results. The following is a list of the players' accomplishments in 2006.

Are Antidepressants Making Us Fat?

Are Antidepressants Making Us Fat?

Is there a Link Between Antidepressants and Obesity?

(PRWEB) April 26, 2005

Weight gain is a common side effect with many antidepressants, mood stabilizers and anti-psychotic medications. Are these pills that are prescribed so readily making our society obese?

All antidepressants have the potential to cause weight gain and yet most people seem unaware that weight gain is one of the most common side effects associated with Zoloft, Paxil, Prozac, Wellbutrin, Zyprexa and many other behavioral drugs until it is too late. Ironically, this common side effect causes an increase in depression as it can seriously impact self-esteem.

The explosion in the rate of obesity in the United States occurred after the mid 1970’s – when the introduction of antidepressants and mood stabilizers became widely used. Current statistics indicate that obesity has increased 100% in men and 50% in women. Ironically, anti-depressant sales have risen 800% in the last ten years. Recent statistics show that 40% of the American public has taken an anti-depressant. This does not include the use of anti-psychotics and anti-anxiety drugs, such as sleeping pills – making the total number of drugged Americans into the tens of millions.

All antidepressants slow the metabolism and inhibit specific enzymes in the liver that allow the drug to function correctly. Many antidepressants are also known to increase appetite and the craving of carbohydrates. Additionally, many antidepressants are also shown to cause hormonal changes, which can further add to weight gain.

Weight gain from antidepressant usage is more common then you might think.

If you have gained 20 or more pounds, within a short amount of time, it is being caused by a change in your metabolism. If you were a poor metabolizer initially, it will certainly be impacted by an antidepressant. Even those that were considered an ultra-metabolizer can gain weight on behavioral drugs.

This was certainly the case with Alesandra Rain, the co-founder of Label Me Sane, an organization that inspires audiences worldwide in the arena of drug education. Alesandra was prescribed psychoactive drugs after multiple surgeries due to a car accident and after being driven bankrupt by an ex-husband who was a con artist. Her story is one that Hollywood movies are made of and motivates the masses.

Label Me Sane was formed after Alesandra tried to quit her medications and suffered terrifying withdrawal symptoms. It brought her to an awareness of the pervasiveness of mass-drugging today. After withdrawing from the drugs she was able to regain full health, including a normal weight. Now the company educates while also helping untold numbers withdraw without the horrific side effects she suffered.

“We are here to offer solutions. We are contacted daily by people who want to get off the drugs but have failed either trying to taper or quit cold turkey. Our goal is to help them regain their lives while withdrawing from the drugs,” stated Ms. Rain.

Their program is simple and unlike anything on the market today. Their success rate is unmatched and offers simple solutions that can be implemented anywhere in the United States.

IRISH BIOTECHNOLOGY COMPANY ANNOUNCE BREAKTHROUGH IN MASTITIS TESTING

IRISH BIOTECHNOLOGY COMPANY ANNOUNCE BREAKTHROUGH IN MASTITIS TESTING

(PRWEB) November 10, 1999

DUBLIN, IRELAND

Tridelta Development Ltd, the Irish veterinary diagnostic company, working in co-operation with researchers in the USA and UK, have made an exciting breakthrough in animal health care and food safety testing.

Mastitis, inflammation of the udder in dairy cows, can be caused by infection or trauma and is estimated to cost the dairy industry as much as $3billion per year in the USA alone. With some degree of mastitis present in 25-40% of dairy cattle at any given time, mastitis is the number one disease in dairy cattle in terms of cost and lost production and is a major problem world-wide.

What makes the new Tridelta test unique and a source of great interest in the dairy world, is the fact that it is a predictive test for mastitis: that is, it can tell the farmer that a cow has a problem even before it becomes clinically detectable by current methods. Not only can the new Tridelta test diagnose the cow before it becomes ill, it can even pin-point which of the four quarters of the cow’s udder is causing the problem, allowing early, specific treatment of the animal and a rapid return to productivity. All of this without even the need for a blood sample: the new test is carried out simply using a few drops of milk.

The patented technology is based on Tridelta’s “Phase Range” assay for the Acute Phase Protein SAA (Serum Amyloid A). The research has discovered what is thought to be, a unique form of this protein which is produced in the breasts of lactating mammals.

Tridelta’s Managing Director, Brian Hett said, “Mastitis is a huge problem for the dairy industry; we now have a means of detecting it and treating it before it can become a serious problem for the farmer in economic terms and for the animal’s health. We expect to have a prototype, rapid, point of care assay available within a month. This would be used by the dairymen on the farms to identify those cattle that will develop mastitis. Early detection of the disease will allow the dairymen to start treatment earlier, therefore reducing the amount of lost milk production and reducing the suffering of the animal.”

Dallas-Based MediSend International Opens BioMedical Repair Lab

Dallas-Based MediSend International Opens BioMedical Repair Lab

Medisend can now ship valuable biomedical equipment in good working condition to medical facilities in developing countries worldwide thanks to a new biomedical repair lab.

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) March 22, 2006

Hospitals and medical facilities in the United States upgrading or replacing biomedical equipment are donating it to MediSend International to be shipped to developing countries lacking valuable diagnostic and treatment equipment. Often the biomedical equipment that is donated is in need of repair. Until now much of the equipment has had to remain in storage.

MediSend has opened a state-of-the art biomedical repair laboratory in their North Dallas headquarters. The large, well-equipped laboratory, funded by the ExxonMobil Foundation, has the capacity to repair and refurbish the biomedical equipment that MediSend ships to vulnerable populations worldwide, and also serves as a training facility where biomedical repair engineering students obtain first-hand experience working with complicated biomedical equipment. The laboratory's operations are completely wireless and use Fluke Biomedical diagnostic tools and repair equipment, along with Four Rivers asset management software.

"It is a natural extension of our operations to have the capability of repairing the biomedical equipment," says Nick Hallack, President and CEO of MediSend. "We see this as a major step in our ability to help improve healthcare conditions in developing countries and are grateful for the generosity of ExxonMobil," says Hallack.

MediSend's Biomedical Repair Laboratory is providing a special internship program for one of MediSend's community partners, Texas State Technical College. TSTC students have already begun working on equipment and receiving first-hand, on-the-job training under the guidance of

Costel Rizescu, PhD.

"The lab will enable MediSend to provide life-saving tools to developing countries," says Dr. Rizescu who adds that the new biomedical repair lab also offers a "great volunteer opportunity" for biomedical engineers and professors wanting to give of their time and expertise.

The repaired equipment will be shipped in good working condition and will receive a Certificate of Approval from the MediSend Biomedical Repair Laboratory. Shipments will also contain spare parts and manuals as well as the supplies required to perform the specific tests or treatments.

Last year ExxonMobil's generous support allowed MediSend to send shipments of medical equipment and supplies to El Salvador, Tsunami-ravaged Indonesia, Columbia, Equatorial Guinea, and Angola. With the aid of NGO's such as the World Health Organization, United Nations Development Programmes (UNDP), Save the Children, Cure International and the International Red Cross, supplies have made it into the waiting hands of doctors and surgeons in countries where medical supplies are desperately needed.

MediSend is a non-profit agency that addresses the medical supply and health care needs of developing countries worldwide. With donations from manufacturers, distributors, and hospital systems, MediSend provides shipments of medical aid to pre-qualified public and charitable institutions abroad. After MediSend collects supplies and equipment, the items are inventoried, repaired when necessary, and distributed to charitable institutions in long-term programs.

For more information on program sponsorship and volunteer opportunities at MediSend, call Nick Hallack at 214-575-5006, extension 112.

Seven Seas Sailing School, of Buffalo, NY, one of the top community sailing schools in the country, has been working for several years on programs for individuals with special needs to enjoy sailing.

Buffalo, NY (PRWEB) April 20, 2006

Seven Seas Sailing School, of Buffalo, NY, one of the top community sailing schools in the country, has been working for several years on programs for individuals with special needs to enjoy sailing.

From teens battling cancer, to adults dealing with MS, the non-profit school's programs vary, but one element stays the same--everyone participates with everyone.

Indeed, the essential ingredient of the Seven Seas Special Needs program is the participation inclusion factor. "Some years ago," reports Executive Director Bill Zimmermann, "we addressed a sailing program to a special needs group, and after a couple sessions, naturally invited the group to join our regular Friday night program that welcomes everyone."

"The blend worked so seamlessly," Zimmermann continues,"that we capitalized on the concept-- that is to say, yes, we do special needs programs with utmost attention, and then seek to graduate the participants to general open programs as applies."

Seven Seas, enjoying its 36th season, is currently working on aquiring additional special needs accessible boats.

Seven Seas Sailing School's website offers a view at their many and varied programs open to one and all.

Insourced Job Search Reaches 200,000 Job Listings Benchmark

Insourced Job Search Reaches 200,000 Job Listings Benchmark

Nationwide job board Insourced, which celebrated its one-year anniversary on Labor Day, has recently added job listing number 200,000 to its job search application.

Woodstock, MD (PRWEB) September 12, 2007

Insourced, a nationwide job board and employment portal for job seekers, employers and recruiters, has recently added the 200,000th job listing to its proprietary job search application. The jobs listings (http://www. insourced. com) are provided both from free employer postings and from crawled content.

Unlike most vertical job search engines, the Insourced job search application includes jobs only from primary sources and direct hiring agents and never includes job listings from secondary job sources or other job boards. All job postings are free for employers, staffing agencies and recruiters, and job seekers have direct access to the hiring contacts for each job listing in the Insourced jobs database.

According to Michael Wist, Director of Content for Insourced, "We're pleased to have reached this threshold so early in our application's development. We're also happy with the job crawling process and at the response we've received from employers who are posting jobs to our system." The jobs currently in the Insourced database are refreshed daily and have been compiled from over 800 employers, roughly 200 of which have signed on with Insourced to post jobs directly to the system. The Insourced job board allows employers to post jobs individually or to upload them in bulk via a proprietary XML format that offers a great deal of flexibility.

Despite the validation that has come from the number of jobs that have quickly been posted to Insourced, and the overwhelming response received from employers posting jobs, the focus of Insourced remains on posting only quality job listings. "I'm currently culling through posted jobs manually on a regular basis, removing those that are flagrant abuses of our system and all jobs that are of questionable value," notes Wist.

Matt Blevins, Director of Marketing for Insourced, goes on to say that "We need to strike a balance between job seekers and employers, of course, but we've always stated that our primary goal is to keep our job search (http://www. insourced. com) application free of illegitimate jobs and scams. We may occasionally remove a job that an employer feels is legitimate, but we ultimately feel that doing so leads to a better job board, which in the long run is in the best interests of both employers and job seekers."

With an influx of new jobs and new visitors to the Insourced web site, Insourced principals have encountered an unforeseen benefit. According to Blevins, "The large number of job seekers coming to our site each day has led to some great insight regarding the mindset of job seekers, including popular industries and markets. From what we've witnessed, there are some definite areas that are most popular with job seekers."

Insourced offers jobs in every major industry, from manual labor to healthcare and from personal services to computer engineering, and in virtually every market in the U. S., including very small markets in sparsely-populated areas. Notes Blevins, "We've got coverage everywhere, but it's clear that candidates are looking heavily for IT jobs (http://www. insourced. com/job-search/i-it-computer-jobs/) and government jobs (http://www. insourced. com/job-search/i-government-jobs/) and the market for Atlanta jobs (http://www. insourced. com/job-search/l-atlanta-georgia-jobs/) and Las Vegas jobs is clearly booming."

About Insourced

Insourced is a nationwide employment portal and free job search application. Insourced offers free job postings, job seeker accounts, a user-generated job rating system and an aggressive dedication to providing the most relevant and legitimate employment opportunities for job seekers.

SNL Financial Now Publishing Statutory Insurance Data

2007 statistics show U. S. life and health operating results holding strong, while U. S. property and casualty industry on pace to achieve a net profit

Charlottesville, VA (Vocus) February 5, 2008

SNL Financial's newly released statutory insurance data shows that life and health insurance companies are on track for a strong 2007, while property and casualty insurance companies remain in the black.

According to SNL statistics, the U. S. life industry earned $28.0 billion in the first nine months of 2007, up from $26.0 billion a year ago. The health industry exhibited similar strength, with earnings coming in at $9.3 billion, up from $9.1 billion a year ago.

The U. S. P&C industry earned $48.9 billion through the first three quarters of 2007, down slightly from $49.5 billion in the year-ago period but still on pace to achieve a net underwriting profit for the third time in the last seven years. This is primarily due to reduced catastrophic losses: the California fire damage estimates were relatively low due to exclusions of housing built in windstorm areas and the hurricane season was considered minor.

SNL expects to make full-year 2007 data available in March 2008.

Thanks to an agreement with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, SNL now publishes statutory data that includes annual, quarterly and state level data, loss reserve data (Schedule P), and investment and reinsurance detail. SNL also calculates group and industry data, numerous ratios, and provides market share and loss reserve analysis.

"We're thrilled to be integrating the robust statutory insurance data set with our existing best-in-class public company insurance data, M&A data, news and documents," said James Record, SNL director of product research and development. "Statutory data is incredibly comprehensive and detailed -- our product provides separate snapshots and analytics that simplify and clarify this huge data set."

Statutory insurance data consists of detailed financial and operating data filed quarterly for more than 5,000 public and private insurance companies. including line-of-business results, market share and geographic exposure, relevant calculated ratios, investment portfolio statistics, loss triangles, reinsurance relationships and more.

SNL's statutory insurance data is available exclusively as part of SNL Unlimited service for Financial Institutions. To find out more about SNL Unlimited, contact 866-296-3743.

Diabetic Neuropathy Study using Anodyne Therapy Published in Diabetes Care Demonstrates Reversal of Symptoms

Diabetic Neuropathy Study using Anodyne Therapy Published in Diabetes Care Demonstrates Reversal of Symptoms

Anodyne Therapy announces the publication of its second peer-reviewed clinical study regarding treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy.

TAMPA, FL (PRWEB) January 21, 2004

Anodyne Therapy today announced the publication of its second peer-reviewed clinical study to demonstrate restoration of sensation in the feet of diabetic patients with peripheral neuropathy. This landmark study, conducted at the Joslin Diabetes Center at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL, appears in the January 2004 issue of Diabetes Care (the Professional Journal of the American Diabetes Association) and is entitled, “Restoration of Sensation, Reduced Pain, and Improved Balance in Subjects with Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy; A Randomized, Double Blind, Placebo Controlled Study.” The study showed that after twelve 45-minute treatments, there was a 46% improvement in sensation and pain decreased by 45%. Additionally, 70% of patients reported an improvement in balance and less fear of falling.

Neuropathy is nerve damage often associated with diabetes and other chronic diseases. Symptoms include numbness and/or pain in the feet, legs and hands. Neuropathy from some causes like diabetes is usually considered to be progressive and irreversible and is a major contributing factor to chronic foot wounds, over 60,000 amputations per year and falls. The cost of diabetic neuropathy alone to the U. S. healthcare system has been reported to exceed $37 billion per year.

“We are very excited about this new study, which further demonstrates the profound clinical improvements that can be attained using our photo-energy-based technology to reduce sensory impairments due to diabetic neuropathy,” said Craig Turtzo, CEO. “Our Anodyne Therapy System is currently being used in more than a thousand clinical sites by physicians and therapists to assist them in improving functional outcomes for patients suffering from peripheral neuropathy, chronic pain and a broad range of other health problems. Because of the broad-based acceptance in the medical community, we now have clinical data on more than 1500 patients that demonstrate consistent improvements in functional limitations due to peripheral neuropathy.”

Anodyne Therapy treatments are currently available at outpatient facilities, hospitals, nursing homes, physician offices and home health agencies nationwide. Products are also available for convenient home use. For more information, visit www. anodynetherapy. com.

CommonTime and CREDANT Technologies Secure Mobile Data for Lotus Notes Users Running Windows Mobile 5

CommonTime®, a global leader in the provisioning of Lotus Notes®/Domino® mobility solutions, and CREDANT® Technologies, leading provider of mobile data protection solutions, today announced support for Windows Mobile 5 Smartphones and Pocket PC with CommonTime’s mSecure PDA security and management software. mSecure PDA is based on CREDANT™ Mobile Guardian, the award-winning Mobile Data Protection platform.

Boise, ID and Dallas, TX (PRWEB) June 7, 2006

CommonTime®, a global leader in the provisioning of Lotus Notes®/Domino® mobility solutions, and CREDANT® Technologies, leading provider of mobile data protection solutions, today announced support for Windows Mobile 5 Smartphones and Pocket PC with CommonTime’s mSecure PDA security and management software. mSecure PDA is based on CREDANT™ Mobile Guardian, the award-winning Mobile Data Protection platform.

“CommonTime’s mSuite is the best wireless push email, mobile Instant Messaging and applications solution for Lotus Notes®. By partnering with CREDANT, CommonTime ensures the highest level of security for mobile data and devices without sacrificing usability, productivity or performance,” said CommonTime CEO, Nigel Mackrill.

CommonTime™ mSecure PDA, delivers a total security solution for wireless mobile devices - a pre-requisite for today’s ‘road warrior” culture. Providing multi-layered physical security for the data and contents of PDAs and Smartphones, mSecure PDA addresses business and IT mobility security objectives by providing high performance, FIPS-certified, cost effective security. By leveraging CREDANT Mobile Guardian, mSecure PDA includes a single, central management console that facilitates cost-effective and simple management.

Windows Mobile devices offer many benefits to enterprises, but with the vast amount of information being transmitted and stored on these devices, mobile solutions need to be protected. Whether they carry personal information or handle confidential transactions at work, PDAs and Smartphones can store large amounts of data, are very portable, easy to hide and connect to a variety of networks. They pose an equally great, if not greater, security risk than laptops do.

MSecure PDA reduces risk by protecting against leakage of sensitive enterprise data whether by accident or malicious intent. It offers protection against legal liability, corporate espionage and financial loss, via remote removal of confidential data from lost or stolen devices. Reliable and automatic data protection is ensured through enforcement of “on-device” security policies, and remote data destruction if device is lost, stolen or subject to misuse.

“CREDANT understands that losing control over data, even as basic as an individual’s calendar and contacts, can pose a serious threat to an organization,” said Richard Stone, vice president of marketing, CREDANT Technologies.” As a result, we’ve designed a Mobile Data Protection platform that provides unprecedented control over the physical and data security of mobile devices. Partnering with industry leaders such as CommonTime ensures we remain on the cutting edge of the mobile world and continue to deliver solutions that enable organizations to increase the speed of business execution with secure mobility.”

Available for a broad spectrum and devices and operating systems including Windows Mobile and Palm OS; mSecure PDA is one component of mSuite, the most complete, integrated mobility solution for Lotus Notes®/Domino® on the market.

Derived in part from The New York Times Bestseller "The Covenant with Black America&quot

Derived in part from The New York Times Bestseller "The Covenant with Black America"

Provides recommendations to improve the quality of life for the African American community.

Hoboken, New Jersey (PRWEB) April 13, 2009 -

From marquee foundations dispensing the fortunes of corporate titans, to family foundations supporting causes close to a founder's heart, to community foundations striving to make a difference at home, the philanthropic sector offers vast resources to tackle the world's most pressing problems. But, while people of color make up one-third of the population of the United States, research by the Foundation Center shows that only 7 percent of grant support is designated specifically for racial and ethnic minorities. A PHILANTHROPIC COVENANT WITH BLACK AMERICA (John Wiley & Sons; $24.95; April 2009) addresses one very key issue: how to mobilize people and resources, particularly within the Black community itself, to pay for and implement strategies to improve education, healthcare, criminal justice, and judicial disparities. This new release aims to inform individuals, grantors, religious organizations, fundraisers and youth how philanthropy can be strategically mobilized to assist Black communities in dealing more effectively with relevant issues.

A PHILANTHROPIC COVENANT WITH BLACK AMERICA is derived in part from the #1 New York Times bestseller, The Covenant with Black America, a collection of essays by media personality Tavis Smiley and other authors that examined critical issues affecting the Black community today. Throughout this new release, emphasis is placed on the role, responsibilities and potential of African Americans and African-American philanthropy, in particular, to affect positive change in their own communities. This book features eight essays from several prominent African American grantmakers, scholars, activists and clergy that examines critical elements of modern philanthropy and how they affect Black communities for good and for ill. Each chapter includes statistical documentation of the issues, strategic recommendations to improve the quality of Black life, and examples of outstanding models already being practiced throughout the country.

With a foreword by Tavis Smiley, grantmakers, fund developers, and nonprofit executives, and churches will find A PHILANTHROPIC COVENANT WITH BLACK AMERICA essential to the mobilizing their efforts.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

RODNEY M. JACKSON (Washington DC) is the founder, President, and CEO of the National Center for Black Philanthropy, Inc., incorporated in Washington, D. C. in November of 1999. Mr. Jackson is also founder of the National and Regional Conferences on Black Philanthropy that have been held biennially since March 1997. 1000's Meet in Denver to Share Environmental Compliance Best Practices

1000's Meet in Denver to Share Environmental Compliance Best Practices

Thousands of manufacturing leaders and professionals are set to convene in Denver, Colorado, May 22-27, 2010 to address environmental health and safety management, environmental regulatory compliance best practices, and ways to effectively manage product-ingredient trade secrets in the modern supply chain while complying with environmental regulations.

Portsmouth, NH (Vocus) May 6, 2010

Thousands of environmental health and safety (EHS) professionals will convene in Denver, Colorado, for the American Industrial Hygiene Conference and Exhibition from May 22 – May 27th. Actio Corporation, makers of popular environmental compliance software, announced today that Kal Kawar will present this year at AIHce on behalf of Actio. Kawar is a veteran of the Environmental Health and Safety field. He is a Professional (Chemical) Engineer and Certified Industrial Hygienist.

Kawar is pleased to share his environmental data management expertise. He will be presenting at AIHce 2010 on trade secret materials compliance and disclosure issues associated with raw materials and manufactured goods in a plant, enterprise, and supply chain. Kawar is also the co-founder of Actio Corp., the global provider of software for materials information management and environmental regulatory compliance.

Actio Corp. has created a secure, web-based portal to solve the problem of trade secret protection and ingredients-disclosure mandates. In the Actio portal, suppliers and manufacturers log into a secure, permissioned platform where both can communicate easily – and in a structured way – about ingredients, certifications, and regulatory environmental compliance. All compliance criteria is therefore easily met without publicizing a specific recipe, per se. This permissioned-portal is one way that granular materials information becomes manageable.

“Environmental compliance in a supply chain is necessary today for globalization,” said Actio co-founder and CEO Russell McCann. “Globalizing products requires in-depth knowledge of all raw materials and parts in a finished product – and the status of each in regards to environmental regulations. Risk managers must analyze each component in the Bills of Material or ‘BOM.' They must get this BOM information from suppliers.”

In the past, suppliers have resisted sharing ingredient information because of the threat of losing competitive advantage.

“Suppliers engage in ingredient-disclosure for environmental compliance when a tool enables them to do so,” McCann emphasized. “If suppliers don’t get decent tools for providing compliance information, then manufacturers and customers don’t get decent compliance information; it’s that simple.”

Today’s technology offers solutions. One example is the Actio supply chain information management technology portal. This manufacturing software allows BOM roll-ups and analysis to identify globalization barriers before a product is made. Running these BOM-simulations using different raw material suppliers gives companies visibility into finished good scenarios. Granular visibility into possible scenarios significantly reduces the risk associated with globalization.

“Supplier engagement can be further elevated by having functional groups other than Environmental Health and Safety or EHS involved,” said Kal Kawar, PE, CIH, co-founder and EVP of Actio. “Purchasing, supply chain, and product stewardship must work together. With the right software, the inter-departmental workflow can be automated and monitored from any computer or mobile device with a browser and the right network security clearance.”

The case study Actio is presenting this year at AIHce focuses on these and a number of other techniques for supply chain data management and material disclosure. All techniques discussed are solutions currently in use in various industries – so their high points and lower points can be realistically and meaningfully addressed.

About Actio Corporation

Since 1996, Actio has been helping companies and their supply chain networks to cost-effectively manage the complexities surrounding environmental compliance and the exchange of parts, substances and chemicals along the global manufacturing supply chain.
