In 2010, VE & Co. will assist the Mansfield Kaseman Health Clinic with its projected grand opening in March. The new community clinic will provide up to 6,000 free healthcare visits this year with the goal of doubling that number by 2012, which would cover the estimated uninsured population in Rockville. Kaseman is a tireless social and healthcare advocate who served as Pastor, Community Minister and Executive Director with Community Ministries of Rockville (CMR) from 1979 to 2005. For more than 40 years, Kaseman has founded and administered non-profit organizations and strategically aligned sectors of the community to serve the interests of all people. Kaseman is truly a "living legend" with his commitment to working on behalf of others dating back to the 1960s when he worked alongside Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. for civil rights. Kaseman campaigns for the implementation of greater Corporate Social Responsibility programs with VE & Co. and organizations it touches.
Kaseman was also recently appointed to a two-year term on the Board of Directors with the Corporate Volunteer Council of Montgomery County, of which he is a founding member. VE & Co. has joined the CVC, which helps businesses support non-profit organizations by developing charitable and volunteer programs that serve the needs of the community.

"I've always been about the business of collaboration - bringing together businesses, the government, and community leaders to identify their common interests and uncover the best resources and needs. As part of the firm's growing corporate social responsibility work, Susanna Palmer was named Senior Associate. Palmer has more than 13 years of experience in community and public relations, with expertise in creating and developing partnerships between businesses and non-profits and implementing programs and initiatives in communities. Prior to joining VE & Co., Palmer held positions with Social Technologies, LLC, an international research and consulting firm, and Reading Is Fundamental, Inc. (RIF), a national nonprofit children's literacy organization. Palmer graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. She lives in Frederick.
