The Penray Companies, Inc has been associated with Detroit Diesel since 1969 when the two companies were pivotal in the development of the first supplemental cooling system additive, the 2000 product. The heavy-duty division of Penray is known as Power Fleet Division. This division manufactures the PowerCool brand engine coolant products exclusively for Detroit Diesel. Penray's Heavy Duty division also manufactures and markets a superior line of back shop chemicals for use by the Detroit Diesel distributors in the service areas. The Performance Products brand is engineered for use by professional Detroit Diesel service, maintenance and repair technicians.
PowerCool and Performance Products are available to Detroit Diesel distributors and customers in over 70 countries worldwide. They offer foreign language labes, with proper health warnings and catalogs for both the Performance and PowerCool product lines. Custom products are also frequently formulated to customers' requirements such as the 3149 family of non-silicated supplemental coolant additives.
The Penray sales and marketing departments fully supports Detroit Diesel on the Corporate and aftermarket, and distributor levels through a variety of programs to designated to illustrate the importance of proper cooling system and engine maintenance programs, to increase the profitable sales of these PowerCool products, to promote Detroit Diesel as the leader in heavy duty engines and engine technology.
