Portarlington Victoria (PRWEB) July 8, 2006

With the veil lifting on The Ethereal Dimension, secrets of the past are being revealed, and the exciting and optimistic path to the future is opening before us.

As Carl Sagan, the eminent Astronomer, often said, "We are all made of Star Stuff". This implies a connection and suggests that we are of each other.

The long suspected mystical and tenuous connecting links are being revealed through the agency of Energy of Nature Healing. The Uniting Energy and wondrous beauty of The Ethereal Dimension is gradually unfolding for all of us. Changing the nature of who we are and what we do. The ultimate good that will not be denied.

The Uniting Energy and wondrous beauty of The Ethereal Dimension is gradually unfolding for all of us. Changing the nature of who we are and what we do. The ultimate good that will not be denied.

The Ethereal Dimension.

The mystical path that speeds Energy of Nature Healing from The Healer wherever he, or she, may be, in a nano second to recipients in distant parts of Planet Earth is now explained by The Ethereal Dimension. The hidden but ever present magic like quality that seeks out those in need and have them feel the healing presence.

The Ethereal Dimension.

Every day many hundreds of Distance Healers make healing contact with people seeking their help from all over the world.

The seemingly impossible mechanics that makes this work have long been hidden in mystique. Going back to ancient times when healers in some tribes were revered and in some others were in danger if they mentioned their healing power.

Modern communications have made possible the new era of Distance Healing, where people from any part of the world can request help and get it the same day.

This has raised the question of how this can possibly be? How does it get there? How does it work?

These questions, that had no convincing answers, can now be explained by the revelation that is The Ethereal Dimension.

Debenhams Designer Sales Boosted by Credit Crunch

Debenhams Designer Sales Boosted by Credit Crunch

Debenhams has revealed that its designer sales have been boosted by the credit crunch, as the clothing retailer unveils its spring and summer collections.

London, UK (PRWEB) January 16, 2009

Debenhams, the leading UK clothing retailer, has revealed that its designer sales have been boosted by the credit crunch thanks to a new type of shopper; the recessionista.

Still keen to feed their fashion addiction, many shoppers are turning to designer equivalents according to Debenhams, that deliver quality, durability and design but with a 'chic enomic' price tag similar to ones offered exclusively at the 219 year old department store.

The retailer reported double digit sales growth across its Designer at Debenhams offer in the run up to Christmas, as well as seeing sales and profits increase and market share gains in all major clothing categories, while reducing its debt.

With purse strings ever tightening, many are seeing buying a handbag with a price tag that looks like a phone number as 'so last season' heralding the birth of a new consumer - the 'recessionista'.

The unusual trend has seen some of Britain's best loved designer names including Jasper Conran, Ted Baker (http://www. debenhams. com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/category_10001_10001_62803_-1 (http://www. debenhams. com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/category_10001_10001_62803_-1)), Matthew Williamson (http://www. debenhams. com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/category_10001_10001_17609_-1 (http://www. debenhams. com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/category_10001_10001_17609_-1)), Julien Macdonald and Jane Packer (http://www. debenhams. com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/category_10001_10001_60519_-1 (http://www. debenhams. com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/category_10001_10001_60519_-1)) all contributing to market share gains and the overall performance of Debenham's business.

"The birth of the recessionista is evidence that more and more customers are looking for good value, great design and clothing that's built to last. Something that our trading figures released today back up and it's also something that we are committed to continuing to deliver with our Spring/Summer 09 collections," said Michael Sharp, Debenham's deputy chief executive.

As a result, Debenhams has taken the unusual step of unveiling its exclusive Designer at Debenhams Spring/Summer '09 ranges, for the first time before they go into stores.

Spring/Summer '09 at Debenhams draws the latest influences from catwalks around the globe with a strong focus on wearability all with famous name designer influences but with high street price tags.

The designers at Debenhams identified several key trends for men and women that are predicted to be popular looks during Spring/Summer '09. The trends for women include 'Libertine', a look epitomised by the likes of Peaches Geldof and Alexa Chung, which offers a casually cool vibe, combining distressed denims and a selection of statement belts (http://www. debenhams. com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/category_10001_10001_17741_-1 (http://www. debenhams. com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/category_10001_10001_17741_-1)). The 'Glamazon' trend, popularised by Beyonce Knowles and Heidi Klum, offers a laid-back yet glamorous take on hippy chic combined with jet set glam for Spring/Summer '09. The 'Exotica' look, which fashion aficienados will recognise as a look sported by Jennifer Lopez and Eva Mendes is also set to be popular, providing relaxed casual pieces in the form of patterned shirts, loose kaftan style dresses and cropped trouser suits.

Among the trends predicted to be popular for men during the year's Spring/Summer seasons is 'Super Simple', offering classic, yet modern, styling, bringing to mind the look of Daniel Craig. Pre-1930s decadence can be found with 'Retro Resort', which utilises superfine wool, cotton and linen and splashes of colour. For younger men, the 'Urban Lad' look will also be available, taking key fashion influences from military and work wear. 'Geek Chic' is also set to be a popular trend during this year's Spring/Summer seasons, combining the colour clash of the '70s with a modern '50s style.

Author Vows to Raise Organ Donor Awareness Through the Sales of Her Book

“Each day about 63 people receive an organ transplant, but another 16 people on the waiting list die because not enough organs are available,” reports the US Department of Health and Human Services. While most organ donors make the choice to give life to another, Margaret Williams’ novel, A Conspiracy to Ponder, explores the dark world of black market organ harvesting and trafficking, where the donors are victims of greed and deception. (PRWEB) March 5, 2003

In order to raise awareness of the imperative need for legitimate organ donors, the author donates $3.00 per book from books sold at most signings to The National Kidney Foundation of Illinois. On occasion, she also donates $2.00 per book to churches and to or other causes.

Combining remarkable pulse-pounding excitement with a warning of the potential ramifications of the donor shortage, A Conspiracy to Ponder tells an incredible story. Complex, compelling, and hauntingly real, protagonists Joe Clark and Wu Chong deserve a place of honor in the house of fictional heroes.

Book reviewer Dorothy L. Ferebee praises the novel, "Williams tells a great story in easy-to-read prose without losing the important elements of mystery and suspense. A real page-turner! I read it in two sittings! I look forward to another Wu Chong and Joe Clark mystery."

“Margaret I. Williams has written a magnificent debut novel…If you are looking to read a suspenseful, action-packed novel that has a very unique, unconventional plot, and will leave you with much to ponder, this is definitely a novel for you. I cannot wait to read more from this author,”

States Latoya Carter-Qawiyy of The RAWSISTAZ Reviewers.

"A Conspiracy to Ponder is a captivating novel of suspense and murder by Margaret I. Williams. Joe Clark, a police detective who must follow a winding trail of clues to learn once and for all who murdered his brother years ago. Joe must uncover the vile secret behind the disappearances of thirteen women and take a hazardous stand against a cruel and shadowy figure who uses his wealth and power as a shield against the law. A Conspiracy to Ponder is recommended as a superbly crafted, thoroughly exciting, page-turner of a mystery," writes James A. Cox, Editor-in-Chief, Midwest Book Review.

M. Mike McNair, Publisher, The Buckeye Review, states, "A CONSPIRACY TO PONDER will keep seasoned readers on the edge of their seats."

LeslyeAnn Rolik, Editor, Police Writers Asssociation declares, "The characters are believable, warts and all.”

Williams Kherkher Investigates Hydroxycut Recall

Williams Kherkher Investigates Hydroxycut Recall

Experienced Attorneys Launch Resource Center for Hydroxycut Victims

Houston, TX (PRWEB) May 2, 2009

Hydroxycut, a very popular series of supplementary weight loss pills and powders, has been pulled from the market by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The popular brand of diet aids, which has been marketed as an all-natural way to lose weight and tone muscles, has been linked to severe liver damage and related health problems. So far 23 cases of liver damage linked to Hydroxycut have been reported to the Administration, but this number may be misleadingly small.

Hydroxycut recall attorneys Williams Kherkher are investigating the recent recall and have set up an informational online resource center (http://www. hydroxycut-recall-lawsuit. com) to help victims of Hydroxycut-related health problems.

About Hydroxycut:

Because it was classified as a dietary supplement, as opposed to a medication, Hydroxycut was not strictly regulated by the FDA before being placed on the market. Instead, government officials have had to rely on voluntary reports of health problems associated with Hydroxycut. Officials have acknowledged that many adverse reactions to consumer products are never reported, making it difficult to know exactly how many people have truly been injured by Hydroxycut.

Researchers are still trying to identify which of Hydroxycut's ingredients is responsible for the liver damage it has caused. One possible candidate is hydroxycitric acid, which is derived from tropical fruit and can be linked to liver damage. The recall currently affects 14 Hydroxycut products, including:

Hydroxycut Regular Rapid Release Caplets Hydroxycut Caffeine-Free Rapid Release Caplets Hydroxycut Hardcore Liquid Capsules Hydroxycut Max Liquid Capsules Hydroxycut Regular Drink Packets Hydroxycut Caffeine-Free Drink Packets Hydroxycut Hardcore Drink Packets (Ignition Stix) Hydroxycut Max Drink Packets Hydroxycut Liquid Shots Hydroxycut Hardcore RTDs (Ready-to-Drink) Hydroxycut Max Aqua Shed Hydroxycut 24 Hydroxycut Carb Control Hydroxycut Natural

Up-to-date recall information is available at Williams Kherkher's Hydroxycut Resource Center (http://www. hydroxycut-recall-lawsuit. com).

Hydroxycut Symptoms

The symptoms suffered by Hydroxycut users have ranged from treatable jaundice to severe organ damage. People who have used Hydroxycut are advised to watch for signs of adverse health effects, including:

Nausea Abdominal pain Brown urine Seizures Cardiovascular problems

Tragically, this recall has been issued too late to save at least one person's life. A 19 year old male from the Southwest US was killed by liver failure in 2007 after using Hydroxycut. Another victim of this dangerous supplement has received a liver transplant, while one more is on a liver waitlist. The supplement's distributer, Iovate Health Services, has recalled a total of 14 products carrying the Hydroxycut brand name.

Contact Williams Kherkher

If you or a loved one has been hurt after taking Hydroxycut, you need to begin researching your legal rights and options right away. To learn more, contact Hydroxycut recall attorneys (http://www. hydroxycut-recall-lawsuit. com) Williams Kherkher at 800-761-3187.

Boston Cosmetic Dentist Helaine Smith Now Offers Advanced "Pain-Free" Dentistry

Boston Cosmetic Dentist Helaine Smith Now Offers Advanced "Pain-Free" Dentistry

95 million North Americans avoid the dentist due to fear; Sedation Dentistry, or "Pain-Free Dentistry," offers patients a relaxed and enjoyable experience.

Boston, MA (PRWEB) February 7, 2006 –

February 7, 2006 – Boston cosmetic dentist Helaine Smith (http://www. helainesmithdmd. com (http://www. helainesmithdmd. com)) has announced she recently received her sedation dentistry credential and is now offering patients advanced sedation dentistry techniques. Dr. Smith received her credential from the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS).

According to DOCS, 95 million North Americans avoid the dentist because of fear. The goal of sedation dentistry is to offer these patients a relaxing and enjoyable experience through various sedation protocols. These protocols include determining whether sedation is appropriate for the patient, properly administering anxiety-lowering drugs such as Valium or Triazolam, and providing maximum safety for both patient and the dentist.

"I consult with patients regularly who are afraid to visit the dentist," stated Dr. Smith. "Often times, these people have low-level anxiety and require only meditation, a simple numbing gel applied to the gums, or a local anesthetic, such as Septocaine, to help them to relax. Other patients, however, have such high anxiety that they have neglected their oral health care for years. These patients often require extensive dental work – yet due to their anxiety, they delay having the work done. This is where advanced sedation techniques come into play.

"Until recently, patient anxiety wasn’t recognized as a real problem among dentists," Dr. Smith added. "Of course, we’ve always had ‘Novocain,’ – a local anesthetic developed in the 1920s – for invasive and painful procedures. However, for many patients, even Novocain isn’t enough. In fact, I recently received an email from a prospective patient who said she was ‘terrified’ to visit a dentist and hadn’t seen one in ten years. It’s for these people that I obtained my sedation dentistry credential. No one should be afraid to visit the dentist."

About Helaine Smith, DMD

Helaine Smith is a full-time practicing cosmetic dentist located in Boston, Massachusetts and a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and Academy of General Dentistry. She is one of two Boston cosmetic dentists to have received extensive training at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (http://www. lvidocs. com (http://www. lvidocs. com)) where she recently completed a full-mouth reconstruction course that only 2 percent of U. S. dentists have taken. Dr. Smith is an active member of Operation Smile and Cape CARES, two groups that send volunteer dentists and physicians all over the world. She has been part of eleven volunteer missions to third world countries working with children with cleft lip and palate as well as with people from remote mountain villages in numerous Latin American countries. Delicious Planet Organic Meal Delivery Service Prepares to Launch its Much Anticipated January 12 Detox Program

Delicious Planet Organic Meal Delivery Service Prepares to Launch its Much Anticipated January 12 Detox Program

Plus, Detox Tips to Guide a Quarterly Vacation from the Typical American Diet

Seattle, WA (PRWEB) January 5, 2007

Delicious Planet, Seattle’s premier organic meal delivery service (www. delicious-planet. com) is preparing for its much anticipated January 12 launch of its detox menu plan, Randi Carter, company founder and CEO reported today.

This program comes just in time, now that the time of holiday indulgence has passed and people everywhere are feeling the impact and bounty of their culinary celebrations.

With the detox program, Delicious Planet customers order a three-week regimen of organic meals (http://www. delicious-planet. com/menus. php) and snacks that exclude gluten, dairy, corn, egg, soy, and citrus. Carter says that customers soon learn that everything they put into their bodies really does matter.

Carter said that those who experience tiredness, depression, skin conditions, bloating and any of a long list of concerns often find that the detox plan relieves such symptoms. And just about everyone who participates finds that they are able to reset their taste buds so cravings for salt and sugar go away, while losing weight besides.

“What you eat really does contribute to how you feel and look day to day, and the detox food plan brings that into clear focus,” Carter said.

Best of all, Delicious Planet makes it easy for people to stay on plan. Just $295 per person per week, and all meals and snacks are delivered twice a week to their doors. The detox programs (http://www. delicious-planet. com/menus. php) are offered on a quarterly basis -- in January, April, July, and October. Carter says that the January program is particularly popular because people are feeling the weight of their holiday indulgence and are ready to do something about it.

For those who wish to try detox on a do-it-yourself basis, Carter offers these tips:

Omit alcohol, smoking, caffeine, sugar for one month. Omit the two main allergens that may be causing some distress – gluten (wheat, oats, barley) and dairy. Eat only fresh salads, soups, raw nuts and seeds, beans, lean fish and poultry and fruits and vegetables.

She also offers these tips to stay on plan:

Add other, non-food indulgences to your life, such as a massage or spa treatment. Rent wonderful movies to keep yourself happy and entertained. In doing so, you won’t miss the pizza, coffee, and other items that might be contributing to your ills in the first place. “You’ll finish the detox feeling better than ever and ready to keep the organic deliveries coming,” Carter said.

Quit trying to be such a perfectionist. It is much better to fall off the wagon and get back on the next day then to ever beat yourself up for cheating on your diet here and there. Try to notice and gently steer away from this behavior.

Adopt a stress relieving practice. Some ideas? Massage, yoga, meditation, napping on the weekends? Stress is more toxic than anything, so start here.

Buy as much organic as possible. Just put less pollution into your body this way and your body will reward you for it. Trader Joes and farmers’ markets are the most affordable way to go.

Exercise. Sweat out impurities by at least walking 30 minutes a day.

Increase your fruit and vegetable intake. The fiber will help absorb toxins and take them out of your system quickly, fiber keeps blood sugar stable, keeps you feeling full, etc. The antioxidants in fresh, organic produce will keep your immune system strong. Think about a bowl of whole fruit on the dining room table to grab for breakfast or snacks and adding a green salad with sliced veggies every day.

Switch to a high end vitamin supplement. You need high quality ingredients that your body can actually break down and absorb. Low end ingredients, the wrong packaging and chemical fillers, can prevent this from happening. You can find these at health food stores or from your health care provider.

Get a water filter. If you don’t have a filter, YOU are the filter. Try reverse osmosis or another professional system.

YoNaturals Brings Healthy Snack Vending To Coastal Florida Locations

YoNaturals Brings Healthy Snack Vending To Coastal Florida Locations

Market Leader In Healthy Snack Food Vending Wins Jacksonville Converts To Its Nationwide Campaign For Dietary Enlightenment.

Jacksonville, FL (PRWEB) July 23, 2010

As a school teacher and mother of two young daughters, Johanna Newman's interest in providing better childhood nutrition comes quite naturally.

Moreover, the three bright new YoNaturals snack vending machines she's helped place in her Jacksonville area community are winning converts to her view that natural and organic foods placed within easy reach can make a healthy difference in kids' dietary habits.

They certainly have with her own daughters and their friends. And also with the fellow teachers Johanna works with -- many of whom grew up in an era when fatty junk foods were the only option in vended snacks. "Family health issues caused me to Google what might be out there as far as healthier choices in snack foods," relates Johanna. "And I was stunned to discover the amazing variety of tasty, healthier vended foods and beverages now on the market."

Further research led her to healthy vending leader YoNaturals, the San Diego firm which specializes in supplying snack vending machines which meet California's strict standards covering snacks sold to children in schools. The company now acts as a nationwide distributor for over 500 food and beverage labels formulated with natural & organic ingredients rather than excess fats and sugars.

Johanna sees herself as one helping to spread the word in a world sometimes too skeptical of vended snack foods.

For Elizabeth Binninger, an administrator with the local St. Johns County School District, the local high school's new YoNaturals vending machine is an ongoing experiment in better nutrition. "This initial natural & organic snack vending machine breaks new ground for us and may well lead to more," says Binninger. "We've avoided food vending machines in the past, but we do see obvious merit in the natural & organic concept."

Prior to this the school district had stayed entirely away from non-beverage snack vending due to state and local directives regarding food content.

Along with the new machine at Bartram Trail High School Johanna and her husband Paul have, through their company Alternatives Vending LLC, also managed to place machines at nearby Serenata Beach Club and at Jacksonville's Museum of Science and History.

For more information on healthy vending visit YoNaturals online at www. YoNaturals. com or phone them at 858-794-9955.

Pulse Oximeters Market to Exceed US$575 Million by 2015, According to New Report by Global Industry Analysts, Inc

Pulse Oximeters Market to Exceed US$575 Million by 2015, According to New Report by Global Industry Analysts, Inc.

GIA announces the release of a comprehensive global report on the Pulse Oximeters markets. The global market for Pulse Oximeters is projected to reach US$575 million by year 2015. Key factors driving the market include growing penetration in alternate care market, introduction and adoption of low perfusion, motion-tolerant technology, increasing usage in general care apart from critical care settings, increased awareness, and growth in developing markets of Asia-Pacific and Latin America.

San Jose, California (Vocus) October 22, 2010

Pulse oximetry has emerged as an established standard for measuring vital signs of patients as the technology provides early warning for hypoxemia, a condition that signifies low arterial blood oxygen saturation levels that can prove fatal or result in brain damage. Despite the global credit crunch, pulse oximeter market continued its growth, with the momentum suffering a minor dip during 2008-2009. However, the market is poised to pick up pace in near term buoyed by factors such as growing penetration in the alternate care market, introduction and adoption of new advanced technologies, increasing usage of the device in general care settings, rising proportion of the elderly, increased awareness, and enhancement in healthcare workers efficiency through the adoption of improved and reliable detection algorithms. Introduction of pulse oximeters with advanced facilities is likely to accelerate the adoption of these devices in non-critical settings, thereby opening new avenues for potential market. Pulse Oximeters are also proving to be effective in the discovery of duct-dependent congenital heart diseases in infants.

The US and Europe represents leading pulse oximeters markets, as stated in the new market research report on Pulse Oximeters. Driven by growing affluence coupled with increased awareness about diseases and remedies, Asia-Pacific is projected to be the fastest growing regional market for pulse oximeters at CAGR of more than 7.0% over the analysis period. Within the Pulse Oximeter market, Multiparameter Units represents the larger product segment in terms of value sales. Hospitals form the largest end use segment for pulse oximeters. Alternate care pulse oximeters are popular in developed markets including the US and Western Europe. Demand for alternate care services is primarily driven by the enhancement in pharmaceuticals and treatment plans that have reduced hospital admissions and increased the frequency of visits to emergency rooms and outpatient facilities.

Introduction of motion-tolerant and low-perfusion technologies has intensified competition amongst providers of pulse oximetry sensors. The market is highly consolidated, with Masimo Corporation and Covidien dominating the global pulse oximeter market. Other prominent players in the market include Carefusion Corporation, GE Healthcare, CAS Medical Systems Inc., Nihon-Kohden Corp, Nonin Medical, Inc., Criticare Systems, Inc., Philips Healthcare, Spacelabs Healthcare, Inc. among others.

Pet Expert Charlotte Reed Discusses How to Celebrate Doggie Style

Pet Expert Charlotte Reed Discusses How to Celebrate Doggie Style

Pet are expert, magazine columnist and radio and television pet care personality, Charlotte Reed offers pet owners advice on how to plan a bow wow bash for your dog

New York, NY (PRWEB) September 21, 2004

Pet care expert, magazine columnist and radio and television pet care personality, Charlotte Reed believes it is necessary for pet owners to practice their petiquette skills when planning the perfect party for their pet.

“Pet parties are a fairly new and exciting idea for devoted pet owners,” says Charlotte Reed. “Whether you are celebrating your pet’s birthday, having his Bark Mitzvah or having a Halloween costume party, take care so that your pet’s party won’t be ruined by your uncivilized, four-legged guests.

Charlotte Reed offers seven strategies on how to make your K-9 bash full of pet fun.

1. Size Matters: Canine guest need a sufficient amount of space and supervision. Either go for a backyard party or a catered affair at a doggy day care of training center. Package deals at such facilities include play space and staff assistance for an agreed-upon number of hours. The personnel can also help you set-up, monitor canine interaction and expedite clean-up.

2. Pick of the Litter: Consider the guest list. The key element to a successful human event is to invite a stimulating group of guests but at a canine event, the mix is in the interest of safety. Your party should be limited to dogs with compatible personalities and good manners. Dogs that are already familiar with each other from the dog run, neighborhood or doggy day care center will be most likely to play politely.

3. Bone fido Invitation: Every good hosts knows that the invitation sets the tone for the party. Consider breed stationery to match that of your guest of honor. For a truly special invitation, have a pet photographer take a special picture of you and your beautiful pet. Remember to include the date, time, location, RSVP information and the words “All canine guests must be accompanied by their owners.” Remember, invitations should be sent out at least three weeks before the day of the party.

4. Dogs Play: If you are the kind of host who loves to create an unforgettable event, consider hiring an obedience instruction who can teach party guest, old and new, some tricks. Agility exercises are an especially fun idea. Watching Harry, the Great Dane, jump over planks and barrel through tunnels is just as much fun as watching Sophie, a Toy Poodle, discover her athletic ability on a low hurdle.

5. Chow Hounds: Dogs might enjoy a cheese cake from Fidofoodfair. com ($18.00). Or if you prefer baking yourself, liver cupcakes topped with cream cheese and peanut butter icing are a bit hit with the kibble crowd. DonÂ’t forget the beverage of choice at these dogged affairs is cool, fresh water.

6. Pooper Scoop: Have plenty of plastic bags hand for cleaning up do's and don'ts. And if the party is indoors, make sure there are rolls of paper towels and spray cleaner as well.

7. Treats to Go: Once the party is over, send your guest home with doggy bags. Fill them with treats including Greenies. After all those snacks, you always want to look after those canines.

Charlotte Reed is a pet expert and columnist for several magazines, including Time Inc.Â’s All You, Fido Friendly, Good Housekeeping and The Resident. A former attorney, CharlotteÂ’s love for animals led her to switch careers and found Two Dogs & A Goat, a New York-based complete pet care service in 1996. Charlotte has shared her expertise on pets with millions of people through her Pet-Owning Made Easy series of booklets and her appearances on ABCÂ’s The View, CNN, Good Day New York, Fox Pet News and other TV and radio shows. Be Free From Exam Nerves: The New Online Service Provides the Best Chance of Excelling In Examinations and Tests at Whatever Age

Be Free From Exam Nerves: The New Online Service Provides the Best Chance of Excelling In Examinations and Tests at Whatever Age

A new website has been launched by The Be Free From partnership. The site is designed specifically to get rid of all examination and test nerves. It's name is EXAM AID and it can be found at http://www. befreefrom. com. The website gives detailed personalized instruction, there and then, on how to get rid of exam and test nerves. At the end it provides a free optional print out personalized instructions for later use. If the instructions do not work, the company offer a 'no quibble' money back guarantee.

Orlando, FL (PRWEB) January 8, 2009

Get rid of exam nerves - now. This is what the front page of the new website from The Be Free From Partnership states loudly. It continues on to explain how the tried and trusted techniques use various acupuncture points on the body and how by tapping on them can reduce significantly, and in many cases get rid of exam nerves quickly and easily. It costs £10 ($15) and is backed up by a money back guarantee. This seems to be great value for money given the result it promises. For such a minimal investment what is there to lose?

Kevin Laye and Steve McNulty run The Be Free From Partnership that owns and operates the website. Their company specializes in helping people with all types of anxieties, fears and phobias. They are both highly qualified and experienced therapists and trainers. The website http://www. befreefrom. com (http://www. befreefrom. com) leads straight to the home page for Exam Aid.

Once on the site, registration takes only a few seconds and can be anonymous, only giving an email address which is used to verify the user's existence. The exam nerves sufferer answers a number of questions, which are kept totally confidential. The answers describe the sufferer's specific issues. Once the fact finding is complete the £10 ($15) fee is paid. Then, based on the information given, full instruction is designed to fit exactly the sufferer's background, profile and emotional make-up. Instruction is then received on how, where and for how long to tap on the areas of the face, body and hands plus other techniques that add to the overall effect. At the end a free option is available to print the instructions received for future use. These instructions are like made to measure clothes. They are designed especially for the sufferer from the information given. The instructions, like made to measure clothes, will fit the specific sufferer perfectly, may fit other sufferers badly and not fit most people at all.

Parents can access the site for their children and administer the instructions on their behalf.

Laye and McNulty use these techniques daily face to face with live clients in their respective clinics. Why then give this away for so little when they can charge over £100 ($150) an hour to see people privately? Two reasons they say. Firstly, they wanted to get their techniques known to a much wider audience far quicker than they can do personally and secondly they can treat tens of people an hour with the website leaving them free to treat only the most difficult cases that need a one to one intervention.

The techniques used are being practiced in Integrated Health Centres around the UK and are approved by the UK's National Health Service Trust Association and published in their directory of complementary therapies. All techniques used are verified and approved by the company's insurers. Kevin Laye has trained a number of Medical Doctors in these techniques, all of whom use them regularly in their practice.

Knowing the positive effect successfully reducing exam nerves could have on the outcome of the exams, tests or interviews, and also knowing that the techniques used can, at worst, leave the sufferer exactly as they were and never any worse, this has to be worth £10 ($15) of any exam nervous person's money. And if it doesn't help, the company offer a money back guarantee...again, what have you got to lose?

Online at http://www. befreefrom. com (http://www. befreefrom. com).

AM 1100 The Flag Joins 'The Allen Hunt Show'

Nationwide expansion of radio show continues with new Scott Hennen talk station

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) September 18, 2008

"The Allen Hunt Show," the nation's only talk radio show that ignores right versus left politics in favor of talking about right and wrong, announced today that it has added its newest Midwestern affiliate, WZFG, "AM 1100 The Flag." Listeners in the Fargo, N. D. region will experience a talk radio show that provides a fresh take on relevant topics influencing their everyday lives.

The show airs every Sunday from 5:00 - 9:00 p. m. CST. In addition to its newest affiliate, "The Allen Hunt Show" is syndicated every Saturday and Sunday evening in national markets including WSB Atlanta; WFLA Tampa, Fla.; WBT Charlotte, N. C.; WOOD Grand Rapids, Mich.; KRMG Tulsa, Okla.; KMJ Fresno, Calif.; WHIO Dayton, Ohio and KTTH Seattle.

"I met Allen Hunt in June 2008 at this year's Talkers Magazine New Media Seminar, and was impressed with the show's success at WSB Atlanta, as well as other national markets," said Scott Hennan, CEO and owner of AM 1100 The Flag. "After becoming familiar with the vision of the show, I was certain that signing up as an affiliate would be a good decision. Allen's show is a perfect cap for the broadcast week, providing our listeners with thought provoking and relevant dialogue that will promote healthy conversation during the week."

Mainstream talk radio's only program that deals with topics and issues that relate to real life and faith, "The Allen Hunt Show" helps listeners with issues from a unique, yet never preachy faith perspective. This syndication in the Fargo, N. D. market exemplifies the show's continued goal of expanding its geographic presence across the United States and increasing its listeners.

About The Allen Hunt Show

The Allen Hunt Show is the nation's only syndicated talk radio show that focuses on "where real life and faith come together." Syndicated in multiple markets, The Allen Hunt Show brings a new voice and a different conversation to talk radio. Most show topics - which have included the media's ignorance on the "F" word, "George Carlin In Heaven", polygamy, and shotgun weddings for teens - focus on subjects few would expect from a radio show. The Allen Hunt Show is not about politics, nor is it a faith-based counseling show. It is a highly engaging talk show, focusing on timely and relevant, real life issues, and how faith impacts them. ZeeWise Announces New Software to Provide System-wide Insight Into Franchise Performance

ZeeWise Announces New Software to Provide System-wide Insight Into Franchise Performance

Web-Based Software Provides Powerful Business Intelligence Using QuickBooks and Other Line of Business Application Data

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) February 5, 2010

ZeeWise™ Inc. (http://www. zeewise. com (http://www. zeewise. com)), the leading provider of Franchise Business Intelligence (BI) software announced today the release of CARS Premier Edition (Collection And Reporting System) at the 50th Annual International Franchise Association (IFA) Convention in San Antonio, Texas. For the first time in franchising, the new ZeeWise software enables managers to gain operational insight similar to the reporting and BI capabilities available to the Fortune 500.

CARS Premier Edition (CARS PE) is a Web-based software tool designed for use with Intuit Inc.'s QuickBooks® to provide franchisors with insight into their franchisees, or "Zees", financial and operational performance.

"Utilizing our unique patent-pending Zpipe data collection tool, CARS PE automatically collects and consolidates individual Zees QuickBooks financial data as well as operational data from line of business applications. The CARS PE system then consolidates this data and presents it in a visual format using summary reports and dashboards to create an enterprise-wide model for benchmarking Zee performance," said Jerry Bell, CEO of ZeeWise.

ZeeWise, a certified QuickBooks Silver Developer, has created the only software tool that is able to combine both QuickBooks financial data with operational data from other sources and report from one consolidated system. This enhances the value of QuickBooks to the franchise business community by enabling the creation of unique management Key Performance Indicators, or KPIs, to help owners, managers and franchise executives monitor sales, operational and marketing spending efficiencies.

Customers agree. "Particularly valuable are the benchmarks, rankings and peer group comparisons, which are available instantly from the ZeeWise Web-based system" said Peter Ross, CEO of Senior Helpers, a 300-unit homecare franchise chain in Baltimore, Md. that connects professional caregivers with seniors to improve their quality of life while allowing them to live independently at home. "This gives our field business consultants a powerful tool to work with our Zees to drive the growth and profits of not only their individual units but of our entire system."

The 2010 launch of ZeeWise CARS PE follows the 2008 launch of CARS at the 48th Annual IFA Convention in Orlando, Fla. The earlier version represented the first time that remote QuickBooks franchisee data could be automatically consolidated into an enterprise reporting model for an entire franchise system. Now CARS PE extends that ground breaking capability to include data collection from the many and various Line of Business, or LOB, software products in use across franchising to manage day to day operations. By combining both LOB operational data as well as QuickBooks financial data into a single enterprise data reporting system, ZeeWise has enabled franchisors to uniquely measure the health of their system.

ZeeWise CARS Premier Edition provides real time monitoring of business conditions including reports which identify both the top and bottom performing Zees as measured by critical system metrics. Utilizing CARS PE reports, franchise business consultants can quickly identify the top performers and investigate what drove their results in order to replicate best practices while still having time to identify and work with underperforming sites to improve essential business tasks. CARS PE increases overall franchise system productivity through automated monitoring of system operating results, including specific business performance measurements at the unit level, via real-time Web-based dashboards and reports.

How to Use Aromatherapy Skin Care to Relieve Holiday Stress

How to Use Aromatherapy Skin Care to Relieve Holiday Stress

Find out how your skin products can make you look beautiful and feel beautiful by relieving holiday stress.

Loves Park, IL (PRWEB) November 27, 2007

According to the American Psychological Association's annual Stress in America 2007 report "One-third of Americans are living with extreme stress and nearly half of Americans (48 percent) believe that their stress has increased over the past five years. Stress is taking a toll on people --- contributing to health problems, poor relationships and lost productivity at work." Often, people feel even more stressed during the holiday season.

Based on this research, Purely Shea (http://www. purelyshea. com), has announced the release of Purely Shea Lavender Shea Butter which is skin care infused with 100% pure, therapeutic-grade, certified organic, lavender aromatherapy oil to help relieve holiday stress.

Why Lavender Aromatherapy?

"For many years, lavender aromatherapy has been associated with a calming effect and the ability to relieve stress and anxiety," stated Dr. Robyn Tisdale Scott., a clinical pharmacist and developer of Purely Shea. "Now, it is a proven fact and several research studies have provided the clinical information we needed to move forward with integrating lavender aromatherapy into our shea butter skin care."

Here are some studies conducted as recent as 2007 & 2005 which prove the ability of Lavender Aromatherapy to relax and relieve stress:

1. International Journal of Cardiology -- August 2007

In this study, Lavender aromatherapy decreased the major stress hormone called cortisol and improved blood flow in the body. These findings suggest that lavender aromatherapy has relaxation effects and may have beneficial effects on coronary circulation.

2. International Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry -- May 2007

This particular study demonstrated that lavender was effective as an adjunctive therapy in calming and relaxing the behavior of patients with dementia.

3. The International Journal of Neuroscience --February 2005

Finally, this research study actually used aromatherapy skin care, a lavender cleansing gel, as its focus. This lavender cleansing gel had a significant effect of improving mood, making people feel more relaxed, and even improved the ability to perform math computation faster.

There are numerous products that promise to relieve stress but few are backed by modern clinical research and scientific studies like Lavender Aromatherapy. To ensure the best therapeutic effects, Purely Shea (http://www. purelyshea. com) is one of the only skin care companies to use 100 % pure, undiluted, and USDA certified organic lavender essential oil in its Lavender Shea Butter. This therapeutic-grade, high-quality essential ensures safe and effective aromatherapy benefits.

Utilizing Aromatherapy Skin Care

Aside from all of the clinical studies and research, here are some unique ways to use Aromatherapy Skin Care products such as Purely Shea Lavender Shea Butter to relieve stress:

Gently rub some onto your temples and the back of your neck to relieve the aches and pains if you suffer from pounding stress-induced headaches. Relieve mild insomnia by massaging tired sore feet after a long hard day. Mix it in with your warm bath in the evening to soak away the stresses and tensions of the day. Take deep breaths and let the Lavender calm and relax you. Massage into the scalp if you have dry hair using circular motions to soothe your mind and body. Mothers find it invaluable for cranky and over-tired babies. It's gentle enough for your little one's skin and will calm and relax babies and children. Overindulge last night? Lavender Aromatherapy can help soften the effects of a hangover. Does your job leave you feeling stressed? Keep a container near your desk at work to relieve work tension and anxiety. The beneficial calming and stress reducing effects is what makes people fall in love with Lavender Aromatherapy. In today's non-stop world, and especially during the stressful holiday times, we all need something we can rely on to take away stress, aches, pains and tension.

Having an Aromatherapy Skin Care product like Purely Shea Lavender Shea Butter in your corner with the ability to relieve some of life's frustrations is invaluable.

Catching the Green Wave—Ecoseeker’s Internet Search Engine and the Cultural Creatives

Devoted entirely to the Cultural Creatives, www. EcoSeeker. com is a new Internet search engine positioning itself the catch the green wave. A large new subculture of people has morphed out of the Traditional Heartlanders and the Modernists. They are the Transmodern Cultural Creatives.

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) September 15, 2004

Devoted entirely to the Cultural Creatives, www. EcoSeeker. com is a new Internet search engine positioning itself the catch the green wave. A large new subculture of people has morphed out of the Traditional Heartlanders and the Modernists. They are the Transmodern Cultural Creatives. And what is a Cultural Creative? According to Paul H. Ray and Sherry Ruth Anderson, authors of The Cultural Creatives, “(They) are 50 million Americans who care deeply about ecology and saving the planet, about relationships, peace, social justice, and about authenticity, self actualization, spirituality and self-expression. They're activists, volunteers and contributors to good causes more than other Americans.” Most Cultural Creatives do not realize that they number as many as 1 in 4 in N. America and the European union.

Susan Landes, founder and CEO of www. EcoSeeker. com, reports that she was elated when she first heard the term Cultural Creative. “People had tried to categorize me as New Age, but I’m not. It was very satisfying and affirming to have a name that truly fits my values, and to know that there are more of us than I knew.”

According to RayÂ’s research, Cultural Creatives value:

· Ecological sustainability, beyond environmentalism: If you can name an aspect of ecology and sustainability, they are emphatically for it, and are leading the way. Cultural Creatives demonstrate awareness of a large range of issues, including wanting to rebuild neighborhoods and communities, ecological sustainability and limits to growth, seeing nature as sacred, wanting to stop corporate polluters, being anti-big-business, wanting voluntary simplicity, being willing to pay to clean up the environment and to stop global warming.

· Globalism: Two of the top values for Cultural Creatives are xenophilism (love of travel to foreign places, of foreigners and the exotic) and ecological sustainability, which strongly includes concern for the planetary ecology and stewardship, and population problems.

· Feminism, women's issues, relationships, family: The fact that Cultural Creatives are 60 percent women is a major key to understanding this subculture. Much of the focus on women's issues in politics comes from them--including concerns about violence and abuse of women and children, desire to rebuild neighborhoods and community, desire to improve caring relationships, and concerns about family (though they are no more family-oriented than most North Americans, it is near the top in their list of values).

· Altruism, self-actualization, alternative health care, spirituality and spiritual psychology: This is a complex of highly interrelated beliefs and values centered on the inner life. In reality, this is a new sense of the sacred that incorporates personal growth psychology and the spiritual and service to others as all one orientation. It also includes a stronger trend toward holistic health and alternative health care as part of this complex.

· Well-developed social conscience and social optimism: Contrary to some social critics, an emphasis on the personal does not exclude the political or social conscience, though individuals may focus on them in sequence. Cultural Creatives are engaged in the world just as much as in personal and spiritual issues. Rebuilding and healing society is related to healing ourselves, physically and spiritually. With that goes a guarded social optimism.

“This group is innovative, constantly combining the values of Traditionals and Moderns and transforming them into entirely new civic associations like political parties, unions, civic clubs, think tanks, institutes, foundations, charities, clinics, and churches. This is really about a new kind of holism. Take a yoga center for example: is it a business, a spiritual place, an education center, a health and exercise place, or a way of life? The answer is Yes to all the above. We're crossing categories all the time.”

According to www. CulturalCreatives. org, “A new industry is appearing: Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability, and it was $230 Billion in the U. S. in 2000, and $540 Billion worldwide. And the Cultural Creatives are their entire market. They are the drivers of the demand that we go beyond environmental regulation to real ecological sustainability, to change our entire way of life accordingly. They demand authenticity -- at home, in the stores, at work, and in politics. They support women's issues in many areas of life. They insist on seeing the big picture in news stories and ads. This is already influencing the marketplace and public life.”

“If people don't know about the Cultural Creatives they may be left behind, wondering where all the changes are coming from. After all, any time one in four Americans are changing their minds in fundamental ways, it's worth paying attention to, because it's going to change your life too.”

New Fully-Supported Hunterdon County Bike Ride to Benefit Local Cancer Care Charity; Registration Now Open for June 25 Carpe Diem Ride in Frenchtown, NJ

New Fully-Supported Hunterdon County Bike Ride to Benefit Local Cancer Care Charity; Registration Now Open for June 25 Carpe Diem Ride in Frenchtown, NJ

The Carpe Diem Ride offers top-notch rider support and great routes from 18 to 100 miles for riders of all skill levels. $50 registration fee is all it takes to ride. Larger donations welcome and encouraged. Proceeds benefit the Paul R. Nardoni Foundation in Flemington, NJ, and the Lance Armstrong Foundation.

Flemington, NJ (PRWEB) May 22, 2006

Picture the bliss of bicycling along the banks of the Delaware, and past dappled woodlands, sparkling streams and gently rolling hills through Hunterdon County’s inviting countryside on a fine early summer day in June – with the bonus of knowing that your ride will help make a difference for a lot of people fighting for their lives. Add the welcome cheers of enthusiastic supporters stationed at crossroads along your route, fully equipped rest and refreshment stops along the way, and a “sag wagon” riding at the rear to pick up anyone who needs help. For experienced and novice riders alike who enjoy the camaraderie of fellow riders and the rewards of contributing to a vital cause, it doesn’t get any better than that.

The first annual Carpe Diem Ride promises to deliver all of that and more on Sunday, June 25. Riders who “seize the day” can choose from four routes ranging from a gentle 18 miles to 100 miles that will challenge the boldest—all fully supported with rider services modeled on the very best bike ride fundraisers. The ride begins and ends at Old Frenchtown Field in historic Frenchtown, with staggered starts to bring everyone home at close to the same time. Unlike many organized rides that require substantial upfront funding commitments, the Carpe Diem Ride is open to riders 16 and older for a registration fee of only $50. Participants are encouraged to raise additional donations to earn “cool swag”—the gear and paraphernalia coveted by riders everywhere—and most importantly, contribute to a cause that touches the lives of most of us in some way.

Donations from riders and supporters will benefit the Paul R. Nardoni Foundation (PRN) in Flemington, New Jersey. The Foundation provides comfort and support for cancer patients, their families and other caregivers. Proceeds will also be donated to the Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF) through its LIVESTRONG Ride Series program. LAF’s mission is to inspire and empower people affected by cancer through advocacy, public health and research.

Funding for the Carpe Diem Ride is being provided by lead corporate sponsor Crystal Mortgage, with five New Jersey offices. The New Jersey law firm of Archer & Greiner, P. C. is also a major corporate sponsor. Additional sponsorships are available, and local companies are invited to help support this important event.

Karen Monroy, director of business development for Crystal Mortgage, is also serving as the Carpe Diem event coordinator. Noting her firm’s strong connections with the extended Hunterdon community, Monroy said, “Crystal Mortgage is known for its dedication to being ‘your mortgage partner for life.’ This event is one way that we are showing our commitment to being a partner as well to our employees, their families and their communities in joining the brave and crucial fight against cancer.”

Established in memory of Paul R. Nardoni, who died in 2001 of Hodgkins, the PRN Foundation takes its charter from Paul’s concern for the comfort of family and friends who attended his needs during long hospital stays. Foundation dollars help facilities such as the Somerset Medical Center and the Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center fund “discretionary” amenities that give both patients and caregivers welcome respite. Examples of Foundation gifts include: CDs, DVDS, and players; mini-refrigerators and sleep chairs for family overnight stays in hospital rooms; computers, laptops and video phones; and art therapy programs. The Foundation also helps fund special “wishes” that bring joy to patients and loved ones. For more information about the Foundation’s programs, visit Paul R. Nardoni Foundation (http://www. prnfoundation. org)

Carpe Diem – Seize the Day! – was a personal motto of Paul Nardoni and also expresses Lance Armstrong’s philosophy. Carpe Diem ride coordinator John Quirke asks riders throughout the region to seize the day on June 25. “We’re pulling out all the stops. The routes are fantastic. The rider services will be top-notch. And the cause matters to all of us,” he said. “We plan to make the Carpe Diem Ride bigger and better every year. Your support will make this First Annual ride the huge success we need to make that happen. See you on June 25!”

To register for the ride or make donations, visit Carpe Diem Ride (http://www. carpediemride. org). For more information about the event, readers may contact: John Quirke, Ride Coordinator, phone: 908-788-9700, ext. 2248.

The Carpe Diem Creed

Cancer is the enemy. In this battle, none of us can be bystanders.

The Carpe Diem Ride is our way of joining the fight. It is one way we can all join the fight.

This ride is a celebration of our loved ones, our friends, our neighbors and our co-workers who have personally taken on the fight.

It is a thank you to everyone who has given support—however big or small—to make a cancer patient’s life better.

It is a living memorial to Paul Nardoni and all of our family and friends who taught us what it means to love life. And seize the day. Each and every day God has given us.

Cancer is the enemy. The Carpe Diem Ride is our way of joining the fight. A fight we will win by joining together. Carpe Diem. Seize the day. And live it.

Hollywood has joined forces with The Prostate Net to help prevent the second leading cause of cancer death in African American and Latino men via an innovative barbershop community outreach campaign.

New York, NY (PRWEB) February 2, 2004

Hollywood has joined forces with The Prostate Net to help prevent the second leading cause of cancer death in African American and Latino men via an innovative barbershop community outreach campaign.

Themed “Going to the Barbershop to Fight Cancer,” the health awareness campaign urges men to get checked for prostate cancer and coincides with MGM’s February release of the movie BarberShop 2 Back in Business, featuring Cedric the Entertainer, Ice Cube, Eve and Queen Latifah. February is also Cancer Prevention Month and Black History Month.

In addition to MGM, the program is supported by Aventis Oncology, American Airlines, Black Entertainment Television/BET, Abbott Laboratories Fund, Foundation for Medical Evaluation and Education, Cancer Informational Service of the National Cancer Institute, Capital Technology Information Services, Inc., National Black Leadership Initiative on Cancer, SurferNetwork Internet Radio and Celgene Corporation.

Over the next few weeks, ethnic barbers in major US cities will participate in community health education sessions at local hospitals. They will learn important facts about prostate cancer from leading experts in the field, including information about warning signs and resources available at local hospitals and medical centers. Armed with insight, they will immediately begin a grassroots community battle to spread the word to their customers – urging them to take advantage of free screenings offered by local hospitals.

According to The Prostate Net, prostate cancer is the single most diagnosed of all cancers, and the second leading cause of cancer death in men. African American men have an incidence rate 59% greater than white males and a death rate 128% higher than white men. Latino/Hispanic males have the third highest rates of prostate cancer incidence and death. Medically underserved patients are usually diagnosed with advanced stage disease and have limited or no health insurance to pay for treatment.

“We provide the means to cope, until there is a cure,” says Virgil Simons, founder of The Prostate Net.

Hundreds of barbers nationwide are expected to participate in the program, with a goal of encouraging 50,000 African American and Latino Men to be screened by March 1. Many leading cancer research centers in the US are participating in the community outreach campaign, which will continue throughout the year and expand to include information about asthma, heart disease and other illnesses affecting people of color.

Simons explains, “We want to honor the barbers’ historic position as a business leader and communicator. Upon completion of their training sessions at local hospitals, these Community Health Motivators (barbers) will receive Certificates of Cutting Edge Achievement for taking time out of their busy schedules to fight cancer, in addition to MGM gift packages and other prizes. In partnership with local hospitals, we are pleased to participate in this grassroots campaign to help save lives.”

To learn how your company can help or if you are a barber who would like to participate in a training session, call 1.888.4ProsNet (1.888.477.6763) or visit www. ProstateNet. org.

Background

Prostate Net Founder Simons was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 1995 at age 48. Despite having excellent medical coverage, a doctor with major credentials and a high degree of health literacy, he realized there was an overwhelming amount of data to digest and comprehend regarding his condition. He founded the non-profit entity to provide credible and actionable information, using a synergistic blend of cancer survivors, renowned cancer clinicians and researchers and corporate supporters that will enable patients, their families and health professionals to partner in making the appropriate choices to assure the best chance for cure and retention of the desired quality of life.

Sports Drink Designed to Reduce Bottled Landfill Waste

ElectroBlast introduces its new flavored liquid electrolyte concentrates that help reduce landfill pollution. With all the focus on sports drink and water bottles filling up our landfills, LJB Piper, LLC has come up with a solution.

Sheffield, MA (PRWEB) August 22, 2007

electroBlast introduces its new flavored liquid electrolyte concentrates that help reduce landfill pollution. With all the focus on sports drink and water bottles filling up our landfills, LJB Piper, LLC has come up with a solution.

Their new Kiwi-Strawberry and Tangerine-Lime concentrates not only contain a combination of 12 electrolyte-forming minerals and natural flavoring, but come in a small 2 oz. dispenser bottle. Ten squirts of the concentrate powers 16 oz. of water, and the 2 oz. size makes 60 drinks. When dispensed into a reusable water bottle, 60 normal sized sports-drink bottles are saved from being tossed into the garbage.

Because of electroBlast's high-potency electrolyte formula, the consumer receives a stronger hydration benefit than drinks offering just sodium and potassium replacement. The electroBlast flavor concentrates have been well received by sporting enthusiasts who include athletes, runners, bikers, hikers, military personnel, diabetics, dieters and by people interested in a naturally-healthy beverage. This product is not only filling a long-needed niche in the sports drink marketplace, but will help us reduce our landfill footprint.

Alphabet Kids™, Children's Multicultural Series, to Launch at Hue-Man Bookstore

Alphabet Kids™, Children's Multicultural Series, to Launch at Hue-Man Bookstore

Zulekha Haywood, daughter of supermodel, Iman and Maysoon Zayid, Arab-American actress and comedian will read to students from the Harlem Academy at the New York launch of five titles from Alphabet Kids™, a children's multicultural series on Thursday, May 13th at 10:30 a. m. at Hue-Man Bookstore & Café, 2319 Frederick Douglass Boulevard, New York, NY 10027.

New York, NY (PRWEB) May 6, 2010

Zulekha Haywood, daughter of supermodel, Iman and Maysoon Zayid, Arab-American actress and comedian will read to students from the Harlem Academy at the New York launch of five titles from Alphabet Kids™, a children's multicultural series on Thursday, May 13th at 10:30 a. m. at Hue-Man Bookstore & Café, 2319 Frederick Douglass Boulevard, New York, NY 10027. The event will be part of Hue-Man Bookstore's celebration of Children's Book Week.

Alphabet Kids, an original, multicultural children's book series, introduces children aged two through seven years to a host of characters: Allegra (Italian-American), Elena (Hispanic-American), Isaac (Jewish-American), Oni (African-American), Umar (Arab-American), and Yang (Chinese-American), to follow their adventures as they learn to embrace their cultural and ethnic heritage. The series was created by Allegra Joyce Kassin, a devoted mother of five and grandmother of seven, who was in search of books that highlight children from all countries for her own youngest child.

Says Kassin, "We believe that the Alphabet Kids series fills a void in children's publishing. These multicultural books can help our youngest learners to love themselves and see that they can make very good friends with people who may be different. "

With the population of the United States becoming more diverse, it is important that everyone, especially children, understand how to co-exist with others who may be different. And there is no better “global playground” to learn about differences - and similarities - than New York City, indisputably the multicultural capital of the United States, and home to people from nearly 250 countries who speak over 170 languages.

Each title in the series tells the story of a different child whose experience at the Alphabet Afterschool Center teaches the Alphabet Kids a new lesson: the importance of saving trees in Allegra's Apple Tree; handling a birthday misunderstanding in Elena's Birthday Surprise; the importance of pets and the responsibilities of taking care of them in Isaac's Zoo; accepting cultural and ethnic differences in Oni's Good Hair Day; and the importance of sharing and learning about unfamiliar foods in Umar's Magic Oven. The Alphabet Kids’ books show young people doing ordinary things, learning about themselves, understanding that friendships can be created despite differences.

Adds Patrice Samara, co-author of the books and Alphabet Kids Executive in Charge of Development, “Our series not only encourages tolerance and understanding in a culturally diverse society, it promotes the acceptance of cultural or physical differences and demonstrates the important role that grown-ups play in a child’s development. And, perhaps most important, the books promote a love of reading.”

Committed to social responsibility, Kassin and Samara instituted the “Alphabet Kids Buy One-Give One Literacy Program." For each book sold, one book will be donated to a child in need. They have also engaged in many community-based educational and charitable activities, including donating school supplies and visiting classes at Edward Hynes Charter School in New Orleans; Producing an Alphabet Kids concert to raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and recently taking part in World Read Aloud Day in a cross-cultural videoconference linking children in NYC with students from Ghana that was held at the Hue-Man Bookstore.

A special edition Alphabet Kids Music CD is currently in production. 100% of the profits from sales of the CD will be donated to charity. A nationwide Alphabet Kids tour is planned for 2010-2011.

About the team:

Allegra Joyce Kassin, creator of the Alphabet Kids Series, is a devoted mother of five and grandmother of seven. With strong belief in multicultural understanding, she brings vision, clarity, continuity and extraordinary leadership to the Alphabet Kids team and advisory committee. She has been engaged in wide ranging philanthropic activities from well being and health to community development and educational enrichment for over thirty years.

Patrice Samara co-author of the Alphabet Kids books, is an Emmy Award-winning producer with over twenty years international expertise in communications and entertainment. She has won over fifty awards for creativity and excellence including 2 Parent’s Choice Awards and the 2010 Global Citizenship Award for Helping Humanity from Orphans International. She combined her dedication to educational equality and multiculturalism by utilizing her global resources to make the Alphabet Kids unique.

Vivian Treves, co-author of Allegra’s Apple Tree, Italian subject matter and cultural expert; internationally respected author and producer; and President of European Film and Television Representatives, Inc.

Liana Pérez, author of Elena’s Birthday Surprise, Hispanic subject matter and communications expert is founder and publisher of Art Circuits, board member of the Bakehouse Art Complex, member of Art Table, and partner in Estima PR Caracas and Mami.

Neme Alperstein, co-author of Isaac’s Zoo, was born in Israel and is a multi-award-winning educator with a specialty in technology and teaches academically talented and gifted students.

Michelle Bodden, co-author of Oni’s Good Hair Day, is a noted educator, author and African-American expert.

Abed Awad, co-author of Umar’s Magic Oven, a globally recognized attorney with expertise in Arab culture and Islamic law, a community leader, law professor, and public speaker.

Dr. Jingyi Hong, co-author of Yang’s New Dance, is a Chinese subject matter and cross-cultural communications expert and television producer. The Yang’s New Dance book will be released in September 2010.

Copies of each of the five titles of the Alphabet Kids series can be purchased on the Alphabet Kids website (www. alphabetkids. com) and through the Hue-Man Bookstore (www. huemanbookstore. com).
