Hospice & Palliative Care of Westchester 'In Celebration' a Wonderful Success



More than 165 people attended Hospice & Palliative Care of Westchester's (HPCW) Eighth Annual Gala Cocktail Reception, In Celebration, to benefit the Anna and Louis H. Shereff Caregiver Program. The Caregiver Program was established 14 years ago by Mrs. Anna L. Shereff. The event was held at Westchester Country Club.

More than 165 people attended Hospice & Palliative Care of Westchester's (HPCW) Eighth Annual Gala Cocktail Reception, In Celebration, to benefit the Anna and Louis H. Shereff Caregiver Program. The Caregiver Program was established 14 years ago by Mrs. Anna L. Shereff. The event was held at Westchester Country Club.



The following were honored for their steadfast commitment to and support of Hospice & Palliative Care of Westchester: Michael J. Amoruso, Esq. of Rye Brook, Managing Partner of Amoruso & Amoruso LLP; Barbara Costello of Rye, former HPCW Board Chair; The Hildegarde D. Becher Foundation, Inc.; and Carol L. Weber, President/CEO of Visiting Nurse Services in Westchester.



Event co-chairs were White Plains resident William F. Flooks, Jr., owner, Beecher Funeral Home in Pleasantville; and Hastings-on-Hudson resident Michele Geller, HPCW Board member. Darien resident James P. O'Toole, HPCW Board Chair, served as Master of Ceremonies.



Other guests included the following Board Members: Ann Smith of Bedford Corners; Jennifer Watts, John Sciurba, Karen LaMonica, Elizabeth Murphy, Lawrence Severino, MD, and Matthew Fiorillo, all of White Plains; Joan DiPalma of Rye; and Kathleen McArdle of Mamaroneck.



Also in attendance were Susan McDonnell of Harrison; Jaquelyn Pirri of White Plains; Michael McCooey of Rye; Ron Stytzer of Elmsford; John and Karen Zanzarella and Holly K. Benedict of Ossining; Hon. Kate Colburn, M. A., executive director, HPCW, addressed attendees with appreciation and celebration.
