Launching December 9, 2010 and lasting into the first two weeks of the New Year, BrightStar’s Hire an Elf™ program can provide the following services to help ease the additional burdens of families taking care of seniors at home, including:
Transportation to appointments and gatherings Winter Home Safety Assessments for seniors Shopping for holiday meals or gifts Decorating homes – inside and out Companionship or relief for family caregivers In addition, participating BrightStar owners will be donating a part of the proceeds from services performed under the Hire an Elf™ program to their local Alzheimer’s Association office to show their support for the Association’s resources for seniors and the initiatives meant to combat the disease. This initiative is in conjunction with BrightStar’s commitment to the Alzheimer’s Association as a Platinum-Level National Team for the 2010 Memory Walk season.
Shelly Sun, Co-Founder and CEO of BrightStar, said the program was created to provide the extra care and support that may be required this time of year, and to eliminate some of the stress involved with caring for loved ones.
