But a funny thing happens when you're helping executives get jobs. You confront issues that affect those in transition and, increasingly, those in the employed population, as well.

Recently, Gray Hair Management surveyed its membership about health care issues and found that even among employed GHM members, only about a third have employer-sponsored insurance. Among the unemployed, 15 percent were without insurance, nearly half were getting their insurance under COBRA and 60 percent are paying more than $300 per month for health coverage.
The population of GHM subscribers are a microcosm of the wider U. S. population. The impact of rising health care costs coupled with a difficult economy and unusually high white-collar unemployment, have stacked the deck. People are looking for ways to reduce the clutter, confusion, and risk.
While GHM has no magic bullet for the national health insurance dilemma, they are beginning to envision a positive health care future through education and the design of flexible health insurance plans.
