ELLKAY Launches 'LKTransfer Mobile' iPhone App Allowing Centralized Mobile Administration, Alerts and All-Around Monitoring for Technical IT Staff

Leveraging more than 20 years of accumulated medical records knowledge, to offer healthcare providers an iPhone application for monitoring file transfers anywhere and anytime.

Teaneck, NJ (PRWEB) December 13, 2010

ELLKAY has entered the mobile application market by introducing 'LKTransfer Mobile'. Available on Apple's iTunes App Store, LKTransfer Mobile allows subscribed LKTransfer users to access their client dashboard and perform other account related activities using Apple’s iPhone or iPad mobile devices. It allows a subscriber to constantly monitor LKTransfer accounts and the status of their files transferred remotely, anytime and from any place your iPhone can be used.

LKTransfer Mobile works together with the LKTransfer service to transfer test orders from physician offices to laboratories, and test results back to physicians. In a sense, the iPhone application acts as an “observer”, monitoring these data transfers, and displaying their status and content to the observer. It makes the process as ubiquitous as the Web and as the iPhone’s reach.

How would you like to have your fingers on the “pulse” of any test order or results transmission? “Just imagine how great it would be for your orders management team to monitor any of your LKTransfer accounts sending orders into your system in real-time,” says Michael Fishweicher, ELLKAY’s Vice President of Business Development. “Fact is, LKTransfer Mobile allows you exactly that; if an order transfer from any of your clients errors for any reason, you can see it on your iPhone immediately and take a corrective action.” LKTransfer handles the transfer of text as well as images and other media files, such as HL7 and PDF files. Since the iPhone application is password protected, it allows healthcare providers to comply with HIPAA standards of medical record privacy.

LKTransfer Mobile provides a basic or advanced dashboard with your LKTransfer accounts, a customizable list of favorite accounts, an advanced search feature to quickly find an account of interest, list of in-transit files and their statuses, as well as the ability to drill-down into each file and view the original data, the delivered data (where a data conversion occurs), and a transfer log with listed errors (if any).

ELLKAY has launched a campaign to introduce its new LKTransfer Mobile application into the healthcare industry. Please visit LKTransfer. mobi to learn more.
