When the Health Care Choice Act of 2005 was introduced, Ann Marie Lehman was standing right there with the members of Congress. Lehman of La Grange Park, Ill., was representing the Alliance for Affordable Services as this important legislation was presented at a press conference in the office of the Speaker of the House.

Lehman serves as a member of the Alliance Action Team. The Alliance Team is comprised of Alliance members who have made a commitment to stay informed about news and events concerning health care legislation-and take action when needed.

“The Action Team was created as a way for Alliance members to get involved and make their voices heard on the issues that effect them in their pocket books,” says QUENTIN MOSES, local representative for the alliance for Affordable Services. “The Alliance realizes that its members can have a great influence in Washington, D. C., because they are the people Congress needs to hear – families and individuals feeling the pressures created by spiraling health care costs.”

The Action Team is open to all Alliance Members, and interested parties can sign up through the Alliance Web site at www. AffordableServices. org/legislat. asp (http://www. AffordableServices. org/legislat. asp). Signing up for the action team commits you to nothing, except keeping informed and deciding when you want to take action.

The Alliance for Affordable Services is a national, not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping members live better and save more. The Alliance uses the power of the group to negotiate significant savings on a variety of business, lifestyle and healthcare benefits for more that 150,000 members.
