The business services sector raised 23% of the venture capital this period. Five business services companies raised $81.15 million in venture financing. The largest private venture financing in the business services sector this period was into Datran Media. Datran Media raised $60 million and is a New York, NY based company that is a full service offline and online database marketing company offering a comprehensive online media solution.
Companies raising their Series A round of financing led this weekÂs venture capital activity. Series A financings represented 45% of the total venture capital deployed this period. The largest private venture financing in Series A stage financing this period was into Datran Media. Seventeen companies raised $161.44 million their Series A round.
