Witness, a Manhattan-based emerging contemporary women’s wear line, is introducing their Organic Cotton Denim collection labeled White Buffalo for spring 2007. It is created out of a love for stylish luxury, environmentally-conscience people and the desire of all denim wearers to achieve the perfect fit.
One hundred percent pure organic cotton is used to make the denim. The result is a less damaging impact than conventional farming has on the planet. Organic agriculture protects the environment and health of people by reducing exposure to toxic chemicals that can end up in the ground, air, water, and food supply. Witness’ partners invest in renewable energy and carbon offsets using eco-friendly and sustainable materials while employing energy efficient and low-impact production methods; which maximizes recycling and waste reduction.
Witness first styles and designs the looks in New York. The Denim is then washed and finished in Italy incorporating the latest wash concepts from the best minds in denim.
For the client who wants only the best, the 950 style is outfitted with platinum rivets and shanks. As well as jeans, Witness is also producing organic denim jackets, dress’s and skirts.
Witness launched in September of 2005 and is located in the Fashion District of Midtown Manhattan. Marcus and Terry Mera are the dynamic duo that head up the design at Witness. It is a Women's Contemporary line with a focus on comfort and details. Using innovative fabrics and design techniques is paramount for Witness in making a complete collection from denim to sweaters.
