Orthopaedic Physician Dr. Brett Smith Joins Baptist Health Care as Total Joint Specialist

D., MS, has joined its team of physicians. Dr. Smith is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in total joint replacement and reconstructive surgery. He will see patients at Baptist Medical Park – Nine Mile located at 9400 University Parkway, Suite 407 in Pensacola, Fla. Dr. Smith will serve as the co-medical director for the health care system’s Total Joint Program and will conduct his surgeries at Baptist Hospital.
Dr. Smith has completed an adult reconstructive surgery fellowship at the prestigious Institute for Bone and Joint Disorders in Arizona and recently served as the orthopaedic attending physician for Allegheny General Hospital. He is a graduate of the Medical College of Pennsylvania - Hahnemann School of Medicine and earned a Master of Science degree in biomedical engineering from the University of California at San Diego. Dr. Smith is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Society and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
