Fieldglass insite® 5.0 Now Live: Delivering the Industry's Mose Advanced Services Procurement Solution
New features ease the management of a complex, global workforce and improve communication between buyers and suppliers.
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) January 30, 2008
Fieldglass, Inc., the leading services procurement software provider for global enterprises, today announced a successful customer migration to version 5.0 of its award-winning InSite® (http://www. fieldglass. com/insite_solution. php) software as a service product suite. InSite customers gained immediate access to extensive enhancements to the on - and off-boarding process, as well as new functionality for the capture and management of rate components, candidate anonymity and secure access to the application via InSite Mobile.
“After a seamless upgrade to the new version, we look forward to using the new functionality of InSite 5.0,” said Jennifer Lindsey, contingent workforce program manager, CVS Caremark Corporation. “The new mobile technology will give our hiring managers the ability to keep the approval process moving along swiftly while traveling and/or conducting business outside of the office, while also giving us peace of mind in that the transmitted data is secure. Fieldglass goes the extra mile to ensure its solution and services surpass the expectations of its customers.”
InSite 5.0 supports a solid customer and partner base, established over Fieldglass’ eight-year history. Nearly $2.5 billion in spend is processed through InSite annually, demonstrating its widespread adoption by Global 2000 firms who leverage the solution to manage more than 30 types of service, such as financial, audit and tax consulting, light industrial, medical writing services, clinical research, environmental engineering, insurance claims and security. Additionally, InSite now supports more than 4,000 suppliers.
InSite 5.0 is rich with functionality to help customers manage complex and global workforces. New features include:
§ On - and Off-boarding Capabilities – These new capabilities were designed with efficiency, security and identity management in mind. Workflow and milestones help streamline processes by automating the lifecycle and expectations of the worker. Centralized on - and off-boarding data and audit trails ensure the proper controls are in place to protect company intellectual property, verify employee access and maintain business and regulatory compliance.
§ Rate Components – Rate components have been added to the rate management functionality, allowing customers to capture and report on the specific variables that make up the final bill rate per worker, such as meal tickets or salary insurance. As each country has its own set of laws and regulations governing contingent worker pay rates, this helps customers and suppliers monitor their compliance against those rules. The taxable components are also directly identifiable on the invoice.
§ Candidate Anonymity – InSite 5.0 offers candidate anonymity parameters to help support diversity and compliance efforts specifically in countries that have evolving and ever more stringent anti-discriminatory laws. Companies can conceal candidate names in countries that currently require anonymity, such as France and Mexico.
§ InSite Mobile – Using a mobile device, buyers can now remotely submit document approvals within the application, such as job postings, work orders, time sheets and contracts. Authentication is enforced, creating a secure mobile environment in which users can conveniently perform actions while traveling without disrupting the respective workflow.
Fieldglass added functionality to help improve communication between buyers and suppliers. InSite 5.0 includes a permissions-based reference library to ease the process of storing, editing and distributing materials. A job posting forum allows buyers to relay information to suppliers without having to resubmit the posting, and suppliers can easily post questions for the buyer.
InSite 5.0 also offers an enhanced desktop based on the concept of a “walk-up interface” to improve usability. It features a customizable resource requisition selector that guides even the most infrequent user to take the proper action.
“InSite 5.0 truly marries our customers’ needs with the most advanced technology available. The end result is the services procurement industry’s most innovative solution,” said Sean Chou (http://www. fieldglass. com/fg_exteam. php), CTO, Fieldglass. “We have greatly enhanced the global functionality of InSite so that our customers can manage their contingent workforce from anywhere in the world that they do business. That’s a level of confidence Fieldglass offers its customers to separate itself from the competition.”
