Zona Design Brands Discovery Health Channel Medical Honors Gala and TV Show; Creates Medals for Evenings Honorees As Well
The image makers at ZONA Design, Inc. put their creative stamp on the inaugural Discovery Health Channel Medical Honors red carpet gala, held June 23rd, at DAR Constitution Hall (Washington, DC), which honored the nationÂ’s preeminent health and medical pioneers. ZONA designed the event identity, including the design and production of the bronze medallion presented to the thirteen honorees. In addition, the ZONA team created and produced a complete program package and animations for the two-hour show, hosted by TV personality and talk show host Regis Philbin, which had its broadcast premiere on the network July 8th, 8-10PM ET/PT.

ZONA designed the event identity, including the design and production of the bronze medallion presented to the thirteen honorees. ZONA Design, the New York-based innovative motion design and branding studio, created an elegant package with strong entertainment values. “This event is like the Oscars, but for the medical establishment. We maintained the integrity of the Discovery Health Channel and conveyed the prestige of the event. The awards medallion, which was designed by ZONA, highlighted the package that included the Discovery Health Channel’s identity and supplied footage. The addition of architectural motion and chiaroscuro enhanced the entertainment quality of the package,” explained ZONA Design Director/Creative Director Zoa Martinez.
Discovery Health Channel and FIT TV Creative Director Gheri Arnold said of the ZONA’s designs, “For an event with this level of prestige and visibility Zona Design was our first call. They have created a striking, sophisticated and well branded design package that proved instrumental in conveying the importance and caliber of this groundbreaking event. The design package and animated elements are seamless, beautiful and breathtaking.”

Discovery Health Channel Medical Honors is the first-ever televised salute of the nationÂ’s most influential and innovative health care leaders. Discovery Health Channel brought together, under one roof, the countryÂ’s leading health organizations to honor the health care providers, medical institutions and clinical researchers who have made breakthroughs, lifesaving discoveries and other contributions to the field of medicine.
