Vision Chips, Inc. Deploys iNTERFACEWARE's Chameleon HL7 Messaging Tool with OBSERVER7
INTERFACEWARE's Chameleon HL7 Messaging Tool-kit selected as the HL7 interface mechanism for Vision Chips Inc.'s newly released Observer7 Ob/Gyn Information System.
Toronto, Ontario (PRWEB) March 30, 2009
iNTERFACEWARE, Inc., a leading provider of HL7 (http://www. interfaceware. com) integration tools and services to the healthcare sector, was pleased to announce today that its Chameleon HL7 Messaging Tool-kit has been selected by Vision Chips Inc. of California as the HL7 integration mechanism for that company's new OBSERVER7 Obstetrical and Gynecological Ultrasound Information, Reporting & Image Archiving System.
OBSERVER7 eliminates the need for transcription, significantly improves productivity, and provides a rapid return on investment. In this regard, the ability to acquire data automatically and eliminate manual entry is critical. " Based on our prior experience, we had absolutely no hesitation in selecting iNTERFACEWARE's Chameleon for our latest OBSERVER7 (http://www. visionchips. com/OB7PACS2.htm) release." notes Jock Philip, President of Vision Chips, Inc..
Derek Delpero, head of interface development for Vision Chips, noted that Chameleon has already been used to integrate with a number of information systems, including (among others) eClinical Works, Meditech, Cerner, Softmed, IDX (Imagecast and FLowcast), GE's Logician, Philips' iSite, McKesson's Horizon, and Sorian and Envision from Siemens. "In some cases, we connected directly to the host system while in others we needed to first connect to customers' interface engines such as Cloverleaf, e-Biz Impact (Sybase), eGate and Siemen's OpenLink. In all cases Chameleon was easy to work with and customize to each site. "This translates into an ability to build our own interfaces quickly, cost-effectively and with little need for support."
"We are obviously gratified to have been selected as the HL7 interface (http://www. interfaceware. com/iguana_features. html) mechanism for Observer7 and look forward to continuing our strong relationship with Vision Chips." said Eliot Muir, President and Chief Technical Officer for iNTERFACEWARE. "With our Iguana and Chameleon products already achieving connectivity with every major HIS and RIS system in the market, a vendor is pretty much guaranteed inter-operability. Our tools are used by a significant number of vendors in the PACS industry and we were extremely pleased by the reception our pending Iguana 4.0 product enjoyed at the RSNA trade show this past December."
