MultiPlan Now Accepting Submissions for 2010 Holiday Card Program
MultiPlan, Inc., the nation’s oldest and largest independent PPO network, announced today it is now accepting submissions for its annual Holiday Card Program. One of MultiPlan’s most popular philanthropic initiatives, the Holiday Card Program collects holiday-inspired drawings from pediatric patients in hospitals participating in any of MultiPlan’s PPO networks and hosts a vote on its website. (MultiPlan’s networks include: PHCS, MultiPlan and HealthEOS as well as the Beech Street and Texas True Choice networks, which were added to the program when MultiPlan acquired Viant in March, 2010.)

MultiPlan, Inc., the nation’s oldest and largest independent PPO network, announced today it is now accepting submissions for its annual Holiday Card Program. One of MultiPlan’s most popular philanthropic initiatives, the Holiday Card Program collects holiday-inspired drawings from pediatric patients in hospitals participating in any of MultiPlan’s PPO networks and hosts a vote on its website. (MultiPlan’s networks include: PHCS, MultiPlan and HealthEOS as well as the Beech Street and Texas True Choice networks, which were added to the program when MultiPlan acquired Viant in March, 2010.) The five entries that receive the most votes are made into holiday greeting cards, courtesy of MultiPlan. The hospitals that submit drawings receive boxed sets of the cards for use in fundraising and to sell in their gift shops.
“Our Holiday Card program let’s us share in the joy of the season through a child’s perspective” says Paul Goldstein, Chief Medical Officer for MultiPlan. “It’s a fun activity for children during their hospital visit and it helps support our hospitals’ programs.” Goldstein added, “Everyone involved — our employees, the hospital participants, but most importantly, the artists — gets a boost from their involvement in this program. It is a very special program for our organization.”
To be eligible for this contest, entries must be received by September 15, 2010. Voting will take place on MultiPlan’s web site at http://www. multiplan. com/providers/holidaycardprogram. cfm (http://www. multiplan. com/providers/holidaycardprogram. cfm) September 27 - October 8 and winners will be announced the week of October 18.
In addition to the Holiday Card Program, MultiPlan provides participating hospitals with Jeep PowerWheelsÔ toy cars through its Toy Car Program, and issues grants to qualifying hospitals through its Rural Health Outreach Grant Program.
