American TeleCare (ATI) announced that it has selected Ilene M. Leister, R. N., M. S.N. to serve in the new position of senior director, clinical implementation. ATI is the leader in the development and application of intelligent monitoring and video-based telehealth solutions to advance patient care. Leister is responsible for developing multi-disciplinary care teams and supporting them in the implementation of telehealth-enabled care delivery for patients with the most complex and costly conditions.

Before coming to ATI, Leister worked for more than 20 years with Park Nicollet Health Services, an integrated care system based in St. Louis Park, Minn. She served as director of employee occupational health and safety for Park Nicollet and directed Occupational HealthSystem Minnesota, which serves 3,000 businesses across the nation. As general manager, health care products, she managed and grew Park Nicollet's nationally recognized "patient-take-home" products division from 2000 to 2008. Leister's clinical experience includes nursing in the emergency department and as a diabetes specialist at Methodist Hospital, Memphis, Tenn. and serving as director and nurse practitioner, employee health services, Baptist Medical Center, Jacksonville, Fla.
Leister holds a bachelor's of science degree in nursing from Mankato State University, Mankato, Minn. and earned a master's of science in community and family health from the University of Tennessee-Memphis.
