Fitness Expert Points to Halloween as a Major Cause of Cellulite
One cause of cellulite is poor nutrition and overeating. The holiday season, which starts with Halloween (something most people are not aware of), is a three month period where poor nutrtion habits and overeating are all too common.

For many women the holiday weight gain season starts before Halloween, not Thanksgiving. When women gain weight the appearance of cellulite intensifies.
ÂStores start offering mountains of Halloween candy in September. Naturally, women buy their candy early. If Halloween is six weeks away, some, if not all of that candy is going to be eaten, claims fitness expert Joey Atlas.
ÂTo make things worse, women will buy the things they like. They'll buy extra 'just in case' they get a lot of trick or treaters and they'll keep the leftovers to snack on during the week after Halloween.Â
After genetics, nutrition habits play a key role in a woman's cellulite condition. Joey Atlas believes woman can use this piece of information to prevent the typical, unwanted holiday weight gain which starts before Halloween and doesn't end until after New Years Day.
Joey Atlas offers the following advice to women who want to stay in control of their weight through the early part of the holiday season:
1) Don't buy your candy in September or early October. Wait until the week before Halloween.
2) Don't buy too much.
3) Pre plan what you are going to do with the leftovers.
4) If you can't give away the leftovers just throw it away.
5) Don't buy Halloween candy that you like.
6) Buy healthier treats such as 100% dried fruit snacks instead of candy.
7) Stay on or start an exercise program. Don't wait for the New Year.
