MediSend International Joins The Clinton Global Initiative with The Afghanistan Health and Human Resource Initiative
The Initiative was presented at the Clinton Global Initiative's 5th Annual Meeting that took place September 22nd through September 25th in New York City.

MediSend International has joined The Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) with an initial Commitment to Action, a unique feature of CGI membership that translates practical goals into meaningful and measurable results. Through its Afghanistan Health and Human Resource Initiative, MediSend will provide biomedical equipment repair training, comprehensive repair and maintenance kits, technical support and the distribution of medical supplies and biomedical equipment to hospitals and clinics in Afghanistan. The Afghanistan Health and Human Resource Initiative was presented at the Clinton Global Initiative's 5th Annual Meeting that took place September 22nd through September 25th in New York City.
According to General Richard B. Myers, retired Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and MediSend Advisory Board member, "One of the most difficult challenges that Afghanistan faces in community health is the lack of skilled human resources in the area of trained technical personnel. MediSend has a focused program that will help overcome this challenge in hospitals and clinics in Afghanistan."
The Afghanistan Health and Human Resource Initiative will train Afghan nationals in MediSend's Biomedical Repair Program to return to their community hospitals and clinics with the skills to install, maintain and repair life-saving biomedical equipment. MediSend will also provide each graduate trainee's hospital with MediSend's Mobile Biomedical Equipment Test and Repair Kit™. Ongoing customer and technical support for the participating hospitals and clinics is a major part of the program.
